Nothing fancy… just a mama and her babies enjoying another morning on the farm. 🥹
These little ones are growing WAY too fast, and Martha is doing such a good job with them.
It feels like we were just on baby watch, and now look at this crew! ❤️🐽

Caper is doing GREAT and we think it’s safe to say WE MADE IT! 🙌🏻🙏🏻❤️

She’s remained fever free, the discharge is gone, her appetite is back, she’s acting like herself again, and she’s doing a wonderful job taking care of those growing babies. 🐷🐷🐷

It has been a LONG road with this girl. There were definitely some scary moments, a whole lot of worrying, more shots than Caper ever cared to receive 😂, and plenty of prayers along the way.

But here we are. ❤️

To everyone who has followed along, checked on her, offered advice, and most importantly PRAYED for our girl — THANK YOU! 🙏🏻

And Caper… I hope you eventually forgive me for all those shots. 😂🤣

🌅🐷 Early mornings in the pig pen...
The babies are up, exploring, getting a little braver and more curious about their world every day… while Mama Caper is taking full advantage of a little quiet time to rest. ❤️

She still seems to be doing good...no temp but she is having a little discharge again so we're keeping a watchful eye.

Today was just babies being babies and Mama getting some much-deserved rest.

Keep Praying for our girl! We need a good solid week of no fever and continued healing for our girl!

🐷❤️ QUICK CAPER UPDATE! ❤️🐷
Our girl still seems to be doing GREAT! 🙌🏻 Today was our first day WITHOUT antibiotics, so now we wait and see what the next couple of days bring... 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
So far, she’s eating good, taking care of those babies, and acting more and more like herself. ❤️
KEEP PRAYING FOR OUR GIRL! 🙏🏻🐷 We’re definitely not ready to declare victory just yet, but we sure are thankful for every good day!
OH... and she didn't fuss at me too much today AND she didn't run from me! 😂
Maybe she'll forgive me for all those shots after all! 🤣🤞🏻❤️

Y’all, I think our girl is FINALLY turning the corner! 🙌🙏

Caper ate all 8 lbs of her feed and drank almost an entire 5-gallon bucket of water from her ni**le waterer, plus she’s been drinking from the trough and the hose when we’re out there. Seeing her appetite and thirst come back like this after everything she’s been through is such a HUGE relief! ❤️

And hopefully the best news of all… TODAY WAS HER LAST DAY OF ANTIBIOTICS, 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 HOPEFULLY!!!

I know she is probably just as happy about that as we are because this girl is OVER us and these shots! 😂 She’s been fussing at me and running from me every time she sees a syringe in my hand, and she learned really fast what the slap shot tubing looked like.
Honestly, I’m just so glad to see our Caper getting back to herself, she can be mad at me for as long as she wants!

We’re not completely out of the woods yet, so please KEEP PRAYING for our girl and that she continues improving now that the antibiotics are finished and that we can finally put all of this behind us. 🙏❤️

Her babies are still doing great, growing like weeds, and keeping Mama plenty busy. 🐷🐷🐷

🐷❤️ Just a little morning peace on the farm!

Martha's catching a little shut-eye while her first-born is determined to find a snack. Apparently, mama doesn't get a break just because she's sleeping! 😂
Meanwhile, Caper is outside enjoying her morning spa treatment… a nice spray down followed by a little wallowing in the mud. 💦🐷
And her babies? They're all tucked away in the farrowing house, sleeping like little angels that they are. ❤️

After everything we've been through, especially the last couple of weeks, mornings like this sure are a blessing.
Happy and healthy mamas, healthy babies, and a little peace and quiet. It doesn't get much better than that! ❤️

🐷❤️ IT’S BEEN A COUPLE DAYS… SO HERE’S A CAPER UPDATE! ❤️🐷
And thankfully, we finally feel like we might be able to say that Mama Caper is turning a corner! 🙌🏻❤️
First, her six babies are doing great and GROWING like crazy! 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷 They’re keeping Mama busy and looking better and bigger every day.
And Caper’s appetite is FINALLY starting to look more like herself — she ate all 8 POUNDS of feed last night! 🙌🏻 She also seemed to have a really good appetite again this evening before I left for work. After everything she’s been through, seeing her interested in food like that feels like a HUGE win. ❤️
Now, as far as our relationship goes…
Caper is still TOTALLY pi**ed off at me. 🤣🤣
Apparently all those shots have officially landed me on her list of people she does NOT want to see. 😂 She gripes at me every time I come near her and has now decided that running away from me is the safest option.
Honestly, though, I’ll take it! If she has enough energy to eat 8 pounds of feed, fuss at me AND run away from me, I’m pretty happy to see it. 😂❤️
Sorry, Caper girl… Mama had to do what Mama had to do. 🤷‍♀️🐷💉
If we can get her completely recovered, every shot, every dirty look, and every grumpy little grunt will have been worth it.
Hopefully one day she’ll forgive me…
But judging by the look she gives me right now, it probably won’t be tomorrow. 🤣🐷❤️

💔🐷 NOT THE CAPER UPDATE WE WANTED TO GIVE… 🐷💔
Unfortunately, it looks like we’re still fighting whatever infection Caper has going on.
Her fever had spiked again when I checked it around midnight last night.
At this point, Caper is also OVER the whole shot situation, and honestly, we can’t blame her. She’s tired of us sticking her, and we hate having to keep doing it to her. I do have a Slap-Shot ordered to hopefully make giving her medications easier and less stressful, but unfortunately it won’t be here until tomorrow. We’re going to keep doing everything we can to get our girl through this. ❤️ At this point, I'm certain she hates me...she tells me so every single time I come near her head.😭
The bright spot continues to be her six babies. 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷 They’re still doing well, nursing and growing, and Caper continues being Mama through all of this. ❤️
We really thought we were turning the corner, so seeing that temperature climb again was discouraging. But we’re not giving up on our girl.
Please keep the prayers coming for Caper — for the right treatment to knock this infection out once and for all, for her body to heal, and for our sweet girl to start feeling like herself again. 🙏🏻❤️

😂🐷 Martha & Crew Update! 🐷💤
I’m not sure what kind of party these guys had last night, but apparently it lasted ALL. NIGHT. LONG. 😂
This morning the whole crew is completely WORN OUT! Mama Martha is stretched out under the tree snoring away, and all the babies are piled around her snoring right along with her. 💤🐷
Whatever went down after we went to bed must’ve been WILD because not a single one of them has any plans of being productive this morning. 🤣
Eat. Play. Cause chaos. Repeat. And apparently party all night. 😂❤️

We’ve got another little step in the right direction this morning! 🙌🏻
Caper ate almost ALL of her food last night! ❤️ After everything our girl has been through, seeing her appetite starting to come back is definitely an improvement we’re happy to see.
She does still have some discharge, so we’re continuing to keep a very close eye on her. But another encouraging sign this morning — her temperature is still NORMAL! 🙌🏻❤️
We know she’s not completely out of the woods yet, but we'll gladly take every little improvement we can get.
And those six babies? 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷
They still seem to be doing GREAT! Nursing, growing, and sleeping. ❤️
Thank y’all for continuing to check on Caper and for all the prayers you've sent her way. Please keep praying for our girl and a complete recovery! 🙏🏻❤️
