My first alpaca sweater has a travel story woven into every stitch! 🧶🏜️

On our Spring camper trip through Colorado, Utah, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon, I brought along my crochet projects. Between the miles and time spent relaxing, this sweater slowly took shape.

Made with Classic Alpaca Yarn, it became a special reminder of the places we explored—and the satisfaction of making something by hand.

🧙‍♀️ Create Your Own Needle Felted Witch!

Join us at Alpaca Meadows for a fun, creative afternoon of needle felting! You’ll learn step-by-step techniques while creating a one-of-a-kind witch with plenty of personality.

No two witches will be alike! From her expression to the tilt of her hat, each will have her own unique personality—and a little of yours, too. 🧙‍♀️

Will your witch be sweet and charming, spooky and mysterious, or somewhere in between? You decide!

Needle felting uses a special barbed needle to repeatedly work alpaca and wool fibers together, shaping them into three-dimensional sculptures. Along the way, you'll learn skills you can use to create many other needle felted projects.

✨ Beginners are welcome!

I’ll have several finished witches on display for inspiration, ranging from simple to more detailed. If you’re new to needle felting, you can keep your witch simple, while those with more experience can add extra details and personality. Each witch will be uniquely your own!

All materials are included. Felting tools and a foam work surface are provided for use during class. Tools and supplies will also be available to purchase if you'd like to continue needle felting at home.

Come enjoy a relaxed afternoon of fiber, creativity, and good company—and see what kind of witch emerges from your wool!

What a wonderful Fall Farm Days! 🍂🦙

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent part of your weekend with us at Alpaca Meadows. We loved seeing so many people enjoying the animals, demonstrations, Farm Store, delicious food, fancy coffee, and a beautiful Fall day on the farm.

A special thank you to the Richland and Crawford County Junior Fair Alpaca 4-H Clubs for visiting with our guests, sharing their alpaca knowledge, and providing plenty of petting opportunities. Thank you also to our vendors, our Angora goat shearer who always makes shearing interesting and educational, our grandchildren who pitched in and helped, and Petty Farms for sprucing up the parking lot.

It takes a lot of helping hands to make a weekend like this happen, and we appreciate every one of them—and especially all of you who came to visit!

We hope you enjoyed your time at Alpaca Meadows and will come see us again soon. 🦙🍁
