There’s a story in every skein. 🦙🧶
We recently received a message from a customer who was excited to purchase yarn from two alpacas she had actually walked during a visit to our farm a few years ago. How special is that?
That’s one of the things we love most about our farm yarn. It isn’t just soft and beautiful alpaca fiber—you can know where it came from. You may have met the alpaca, taken a picture with them, or even walked alongside them through our pastures.
Each year, our alpacas are sheared and their fiber is carefully transformed into yarn, giving you a connection from alpaca to skein and a little piece of Alpaca Meadows to take home.
Our farm yarn is produced in small batches, and some alpacas naturally give us more yarn than others. Once a particular alpaca’s yarn is gone, there may not be more until another fleece is processed—which is why favorites tend to sell quickly.
If you’ve been thinking about a special project using yarn from one of our alpacas, now is a good time to choose your skeins. We don’t have a lot left! https://alpacameadows.com/online-store/Alpaca-Meadows-Farm-Yarn-c1789572
