Apparently Luna and Leonard missed me. They were waiting for me when I went out to feed this morning. Well, Luna was at least. Leonard couldn't wait to come push her out of the way so he could receive all of the scratches (and food). 🤭

Good morning farm fam! ☕️🌄🐸

Dixie Frog is apparently sleeping in this morning. She's resting up for our trek back to Ohio today. We're both sad about having to leave the lake, but we miss the farm. I'm looking forward to getting back to Luna, Leonard and the herd, as well as Leighlee, Albert, Buddy and Katniss. 🐴🐂🐈🫏

We're heading into our busiest time of year on the farm and one of my favorites! Fall on the farm is absolutely breathtaking. I'm bringing back some of my fall decor from the lake house, and I can't wait to decorate Luna’s Party Barn and our Cow Cuddle stall. I finished up about two dozen fall-scented freshies while down in NC, and I've ordered our cold weather hoodies and tees for Luna’s Cow Cuddle Corner! Squuueeeeee!!! I can't wait for you all to see the fall merch! 🤎🎃🍁🧡

We are often asked how Luna and Leonard compare in size to other breeds of cattle.

This chart gives an awesome breakdown on the sizes according to breeds. You can see that Highlands are one of the smallest of the breeds. Luna and Leonard are mid-sized Highlands, so that should put it into perspective! 🐂

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET, ADORABLE LUNA!! 🎂💗

On this date two years ago, at approximately 11pm, our precious Luna came into the world. It was a full moon, on mine and Rocky's anniversary weekend. We had planned a trip but had decided to stay home just in case, and I am so glad we did!

We were there when Luna hit the straw lol. We made sure that we had lots of contact with her...rubbing her, touching her ears, nose and feet...everything we could do to let her know that we were "safe". Lola is such an excellent mama, and patiently watched. I know Luna gets her gentleness and sweetness from her.

Luna was easy to work with and halter training was an absolute breeze! Pretty soon we were able to lead her up and down the driveway, up and down the road in front of our house and pretty much all over the farm.

The rest is history.

Luna is the heart and soul of our Cow Cuddle Experiences, stealing hearts and spreading happiness, and enjoying all of the scratches and cuddles she can get! We couldn't imagine life without out her. 🐂💗
