BRHJA Spring Premiere was one for the books! So sad it’s over! Here is a photodump of our absolutely lovely weekend. Full of fantastic weather, grilling out at the show, great riding from our girls, multiple tricolors all weekend, Revel’s horse show debut, and the most special farm family of all time. It’s truly so wonderful as a trainer to look around and see all parents supporting kids like they’re their own, girls ringside cheering each other on, and of course our horses being spectacular for us every step of the way. We ask so much from them for our own benefit and they play our games and jump sticks and I’m so thankful for them the most 💙

Highlights below ⬇️

MollyKate Moreau and CB took big leaps and strides of improvement this weekend, learning more each time they enter the ring, MK stepped up to do a few of the 3ft medals, the BRHJA Junior medal, Palmetto, and also did the NCHJA, and her 12-14 Eq. The pair were Champion and Reserve

Heidi Hertzell and Skip had their second show together and also stepped into the 2’6 for the first time. I could not be more thrilled with them. Everyone knows how special this horse is to me, and I love sharing him with one of my one juniors. It is a joy watching him being back in a program, and not only that but respectable rounds, and so much room to grow, all I can ask for. The pair were Reserve in the pre childrens

MK also piloted Pearl around the long stirrup for some unjudged schooling/practice and we’re looking forward to doing it again at the next one; carrying over what we have learned

Mira McCoy and Frenchie had their first show together in the W/T, and Mira’s first time doing the WT Poles, AND a class of WTC on Sunday 👏🏼 The duo were Reserve in the walk/trot (despite missing our u/s class 🫣) and Champion in the poles. Lots of great riding both days and I am SO proud of her bravery and how far she has come over the last year. Entering last minute into that u/s wtc class was enough to rattle anyone’s nerve’s but this girly was down and game and I loved watching them get after it! Now we know we are ready to move up 💪🏼

Salma Buzzo and Simon. What another display of push, grit, and bravery. Salma stepped into the WTC ring for the first time with Simon, and despite nerves and fear pushed through and was able to learn and even improve from day one into day two. So proud of her efforts and determination. The pair also crushed around the WT Poles both day and were Champion day one and Reserve day two.

Whew. So happy. So proud. This is what it’s all about. On to the next!

Finishing off the 25-26 IEA season with a solid effort at Regionals @ Townley. We had two individual qualifiers and the middle school team qualified. All our girls put in consistent rounds and gave it their best and we could not ask for more. As a whole, it was a great year for the Cornerstone IEA team, congratulations on a fun and successful season girlies! 🏆

Wins, learning, friends, rain, sun, meals as a farm fam, support ringside (rain or shine), tired girls and horses. Sounds like a horse show weekend.

Congratulations ladies on all your winnings and all the lessons over the Weekend. Very proud of each of you. On to BRHJA Spring Premiere in March 🔜

Cornerstone Christmas party 2025 ✨

Thank you husband for sharing your DanCave with us this year. Thank you to the clients, families and riders, for being a part of this team. Thank you to my mama for all that she does to help make this event work. And thank you to the moms and dads who make these girl dreams happen.

Love this farm family of mine, truly so thankful for every single girly, from the littles to the teenagers to the adults. You are all so appreciated, and loved. It has been a year. Moving into the next one hopeful for better than what 2025 brought, but thankful nonetheless to be doing it with this group.

Xoxo

Sedgefield at the Park Haunted Classic 🎃

This weekend was mentally tough. But thankful for the clientele of ours, to pull us through the darkness, and find some light. Cannot express enough gratitude for that.

MollyKate and Comeback Kid had their first show with us, putting in good rides in the medals and the 12-14 Eq, taking Reserve on Saturday. Looking forward to all future endeavors and playing in equitation land with these two

Salma and Simon had their first show as new pair, and although Saturday was a rocky start, Salma overcame some fears, pushed through, and it paid off, to produce a lovely Sunday. And even got to claim Reserve in the walk trot

Lilli and Paulie also had a rough go Saturday, however handled their own challenges well, came into Sunday fresh and ready, never even having done walk trot poles, laid it down, and took the Reserve. Love this duo so fun to watch them have a blast

Thank you to Heidi for helping groom over the weekend, our crew at home for handling the horses there, and especially again to the parents and clients for bearing with me, as I canceled all lessons in the week leading up to this show. It’s no secret I’ve been navigating the worst week (year) of my life, and I have been extended so much grace. I cannot say how much appreciate all of it, as I continue to try to put one foot in front of the other.

Cash was my constant, spending 11 of his 12 years at every show with me. Although I’m thankful I’ve had my girl with me for the last year, I still felt an emptiness. As if that season has truly, actually ended. But I do know that his soul is in mine, and I carry him with me. Despite the empty, I still feel him with me. At the in gate, in the truck, in the shavings at night check and in the peace of the morning sunrises. All so Yellow 💛

So, on to the next. Putting one foot in front of the other

Did you know that Cornerstone offers a partial lease program?

Leasing gives riders the opportunity to further their skills and have a relationship with a horse they get to enjoy and grow with, but do not have to own. We offer several levels of leasing, beginning with a Partial Lease (one ride day per week) a Half Lease (three ride days per week) and Full Lease (full access)

All of these options have varying terms and conditions, but what all have in common is some extra horse time, which is the main goal for all aspiring riders, right? 🐴

Featured here is our sweet Mira McCoy (age 9) and Frenchie girl 💗

If you’re interested in our leasing options please contact Emily 📱
