Sedgefield at the Park Haunted Classic 🎃
This weekend was mentally tough. But thankful for the clientele of ours, to pull us through the darkness, and find some light. Cannot express enough gratitude for that.
MollyKate and Comeback Kid had their first show with us, putting in good rides in the medals and the 12-14 Eq, taking Reserve on Saturday. Looking forward to all future endeavors and playing in equitation land with these two
Salma and Simon had their first show as new pair, and although Saturday was a rocky start, Salma overcame some fears, pushed through, and it paid off, to produce a lovely Sunday. And even got to claim Reserve in the walk trot
Lilli and Paulie also had a rough go Saturday, however handled their own challenges well, came into Sunday fresh and ready, never even having done walk trot poles, laid it down, and took the Reserve. Love this duo so fun to watch them have a blast
Thank you to Heidi for helping groom over the weekend, our crew at home for handling the horses there, and especially again to the parents and clients for bearing with me, as I canceled all lessons in the week leading up to this show. It’s no secret I’ve been navigating the worst week (year) of my life, and I have been extended so much grace. I cannot say how much appreciate all of it, as I continue to try to put one foot in front of the other.
Cash was my constant, spending 11 of his 12 years at every show with me. Although I’m thankful I’ve had my girl with me for the last year, I still felt an emptiness. As if that season has truly, actually ended. But I do know that his soul is in mine, and I carry him with me. Despite the empty, I still feel him with me. At the in gate, in the truck, in the shavings at night check and in the peace of the morning sunrises. All so Yellow 💛
So, on to the next. Putting one foot in front of the other
