Another epic evergreen volunteer posing with blackberry carcasses! Thanks team for a great work session this morning! Frankie is a pro blackberry extractor. That stand could have been overwhelming in a couple years but Frankie got it just in the nick of time and a food forest is in its way…. Let us know if you want to join in for Wednesday morning work sessions….

The first part is self-paced. There's about 5 weeks of content providing an overview on Food Forestry with templates for researching plants. I offer a Practicum to follow to guide participants through the design of a Food Forest on a site of their choosing. Please share with others who might be interested..... Thank you ❤

Evergreen students are back at the farm this semester. We decided that it would be appropriate to post pictures posing with large blackberry roots just like guys post pictures with large fish. Here’s the first featuring Megan a very skilled blackberry slayer!

Rain is coming in this weekend but there’s still warm sunny days in the forecast next week. It’s a good reminder to line up all those things you want to do before rainy season. And it’s a great time to plant your cool season veggie starts. The nursery will be open on Sunday only this weekend 9/13 from 11-3z link in bio for nursery list and address. If you can’t make it on Sunday, get in touch and we can figure out a time to come out that’s convenient for you!

Some veggie starts are looking for a ride from the nursery to Portland. Might you be going that way and want some extra oxygen and companionship in your vehicle?
