The sweetest surprise this morning!
Our girl Margot had 6 beautiful babies. ALL HEALTHY.

So far, she’s been the absolute best mama, being extremely careful how she lays down. Nursing every 30 minutes. Seriously, she won’t leave them alone. 😂
That new mom anxiety i tell ya.

We’ve loved on her so much and told her how proud of her we are. We weren’t there for the birth, but she had her sister by her side and did the dang thing all on her own and they are perfect!

The first babies officially born on the farm. Ahhh i still can’t believe it.
But now that the adrenaline is calming down from the day….
WHY DID NOBODY WARN ME ID BE SO STRESSED OUT!?

I know she’s being a good mom, but I can’t stop checking on them every 30/45 minutes. Maybe it’s a good thing hubs pulled me out of the house for date night tonight. 🤪

A few still moments of farm life.
Life sure has been busy/fun/heartbreaking all in one the last month.
We had to put down one of the girls kittens.
2 days later our senior dog couldn’t walk at all and we thought it was his time. (Thank you tick diseases🙄)

We have a pig and kitty who’s due any day now. Which means the new mini pig area needs to get finished asap!

Which also means we get to seed their old area so the goats get to have their large space back and less of a hay bill 🤪
We have goats due beginning of September.
(Goat cuddles! Woohoo!)
Meat birds go to freezer camp.
Big pigs go to freezer camp in November.

More clearing has started on the land for something so exciting and a long time dream of mine! We cannot wait to share more!🤍

The girls have spent so much time down at the pond learning of all the things we have in it.

They ran up today with the cutest baby turtle.
Our 4 year old let me know this is called a “paint turtle” which is in fact true. (I totally googled it cause i had no idea)

The farm is getting something new and exciting!
This is a really big thing for us and something I’ve dreamed of for a long long time!

The kids and i have been away for a bit now and this guy has been holding down the fort.

Every time we leave, he uses the opportunity to get lots of stuff done and always has a ton of surprises for us to see once we are back. Excited to see what it is this time!

Lately, life has felt rushed.

There’s something about being in the garden with your loves with the sounds of your kids in the distance playing and laughing that is just so peaceful.

Give me more of this.

Plant the seeds.
Ground yourself.
Slow down.
