Another perfect fall day in Maine. Lots going on at the farm currently. We are pulling out spent annuals, replacing raised beds, planting spring annuals, harvesting flowers and making bouquets. I am patiently or maybe not so waiting for our tulips to arrive. Lots of glorious eucalyptus coming in from the fields. We grew four different varieties this year for everyone’s enjoyment. I anticipate a frost this week but time will tell. Hope you’re cup was full this Sunday.

Happy spectacular fall weather day! The days are getting shorter and the air is crisp. We have not had a frost on the farm but it was darn close. This cosmo bed is absolutely sending out spectacular blooms. I love the movement in cosmos and have really expanded our successions of these beauties. This is planting number four. Hope you had a chance to soak in some sun today.

What a week my flower friends. Lots of beauties went out to our local community. Four events received some flower love from us this week. In the midst of everything one of the walk-in coolers decided not to participate. But the show went on just fine with some creative space management in the cooler. We are back to a two coolers and I am not having to squeeze into crazy spaces. This afternoon I relaxed just playing with flowers with Ellen Frost Ellen Frost / FlowerMore grass arrangement challenge for the month. If you love flowers check out Ellen’s flowermore community it is a lot of fun. The best part of my day was the hour long coffee break with my husband. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Hope you’re Labor Day weekend is off to a great start. You have more than kept me on my toes over the last few weeks. Thank you for supporting our small farm. I can’t believe we are in mid August. The summer has really flown by. I did manage to go swimming this summer as last summer it never made the list. I have eaten the juiciest Maine peach and let it run down my chin. Lots still to check off so it probably won’t all be accomplished. The flowers are stellar this week. Lots of my favorites amaranth, zinnias, lisianthus and cosmos to name a few. I hope you have checked something fun off your summer list.

I am glad this day is over. Although the gladiolus are pretty spectacular this year. It has been a couple of crazy days of pest pressure and split apple trees. I was pretty displeased with the split in my sweet sixteen. No issues must have just been weak. Looking forward to a spectacular Wednesday.
