This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the amazing job Grace has done! 🐷 Today, we moved the piglets to their own pen, marking a new chapter of independence for them and a break for mom. She did a fantastic job nursing this litter, and it’s now time for her to rest and recharge. Watching these piglets turn into independent, curious, and healthy little ones is truly the best gift a breeder could ask for. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, human and animal alike! ❤️

It’s chicken processing day at DLUX Farms LLC. 👨‍🌾 Not always glamorous, but it feeds our family and yours with some of the best pasture raised chicken around. It’s hard to believe we are halfway through our spring season—just 100 birds left to go after today!
So thankful for this life and the ability to raise our own food.

God’s design is pretty amazing. 🌿

A neighbor called the other day after one of her hens abandoned a nest mid-hatch. I didn't have an incubator, but I did have a few broody hens ready to step up!

We moved the eggs over, and today, two of the six hatched. It’s incredible to watch a hen just take over like they were hers from the start. Fingers crossed the rest of the crew makes an appearance tomorrow! 🐣🤞

Most common kitchen oils—like sunflower, soybean, and canola—go through a heavy refining process that removes vitamins and antioxidants. This can even lead to oxidized fats and trans fats in your food. 🧪💨

There is a better way! ✨

When you're shopping, look for unrefined and cold-processed oils. These are extracted with low heat and zero chemical solvents, preserving all the natural nutrients and flavor your body loves.

At our farm, we keep it simple. Our top staples (in order of usage) are:
1️⃣ Lard (rendered from our pasture raised hogs! 🐖)
2️⃣ Tallow (rendered in house! 🐄)
3️⃣ Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4️⃣ Unrefined Coconut Oil

💨🚜The 80% Rule is Real 🚜💨

We’ll be honest— DLUX Farms LLC Market has been "under construction" for over a year, and some days it feels like we’re running in place. Between moving feeder hogs, butchering chickens, homeschooling, and keeping up with the daily farm hustle, that final 20% of the market build is taking 80% of our energy! 🤦‍♀️

We know we aren’t the only ones with a "to-do" list a mile long. If you’re juggling a million projects today, just know we’re right there with you.
