September has been a particularly intense month here at Churchview, with an overload of private events and an incredible lineup of dinners with some of our closest friends.

A huge thank you to DiAnoia's Eatery for coming back for another wildly popular Tomato Dinner 🍅 We can promise that won’t be the last 😉

We also welcomed back Fish nor Fowl featuring Andrew Robinson’s gorgeous handmade pasta with some truly unforgettable w**e pairings (alcoholic & non).

The lovely Polska Laska treated us to her second Polish feast on the farm, and this time with incredibly creative cocktail pairings from Nine Two Five.

We also still have a few tickets available for our October dinners with Kristin Butterworth Cork and Crust Pittsburgh & bitterendsfood with Allora W**e Group. This is your last chance to dine with us before we wrap our 14th season ✨

We’d like to give a huge thanks to Pittsburgh Magazine for this excellent piece introducing our new nonprofit arm at Churchview — CHEW: Churchview Hub for Education & Workshare.

Between (finally) breaking ground on new construction this fall and this huge development, it’s clear we just don’t know how to sit still at Churchview 😉 Please check out the full article at the link in our bio, and keep an eye on our website in the coming months for info about our amazing CHEW board members & and all of the new programming we’ll be able to offer. 🐣✨

Here’s a lil Sunday Dinner Series recap for yinz 💘

Our friends at One by Spork always bring their all to Churchview. While we truly don’t have the infrastructure for dinners saturated with cocktail pairings, Cecil Usher | Bar Consultant always makes it happen no matter what. We’re so grateful their team is willing to take on the challenge of scaling their tasting menus up to our 62 person crowd once a year ✨

One of our oldest friends Chris Bonfili made his annual return to Churchview with his family in tow. Their unique & beloved approach to flavor profiles (chicken & blackberries have never tasted so good together) keep all of us coming back year after year after year.

✨🥂✨

Come hell or high water 🌧️ our amazing friends will always fill your plate. So grateful to the Lilith team for working through a torrential downpour, AGAIN. We have no idea why rain always comes for their dinners with us, but you’d never know it from the incredible meal that they prepared 💘

We also spent our first Weeknight Dinner of the year stuffing our faces with 🍅s courtesy of another of our closest friends, chef Kate Romane & her black radish kitchen team. The entire dinner was gluten-free, but you’d never have known it. Thank you to Allora W**e Group for the incredible pairings, and to all of our guests who were truly a delight.

Psst — September Weeknight Dinners are launching soon 👀 and we can’t wait to share them with you 🥂

This was a Farm Dinner for the ages ✨ The incredible Chef Kristin Butterworth of Cork and Crust Pittsburgh brought so much delicious whimsy to the Churchview last Sunday that we just can’t stop talking about it. Swipe through to learn more about each incredible course, and be sure to keep an eye out for her encore dinner at Churchview later this year 👀

The evening started with a lovely spritz, a South Georgia tomato pie (in a mini pizza box), and bread service featuring 72-hour fermented black garlic schiacciata and rosemary whipped olive oil molded into the shape of an Easter lamb 🥹

For the first course, our guests used an edible menu to eat a gorgeous tuna tartare with fermented peppers & sun-dried tomato caper relish, alongside a truly lovely Dashwood sauvignon blanc.

Next we enjoyed green curry farm squash & zucchini “noodles” with a gorgeous Italian white — perfect for a warm summer evening.

And then this — Goat Rodeo chèvre formed into a 🍅 with basil pasta leaves & a Parmesan broth (poured table side). THE WHIMSY!

And then the the *most* comforting plate of ditalini pasta with vodka sauce, stracciatella, & braised pork cheek!

To finish, London fog tiramisu with fermented strawberry-honey & rhubarb, covered in chocolate pearls to resemble caviar 🥹 Most of our guests left with their tins full of enough to enjoy the following day (and maybe even days)! Thank you, Chef. What a dream 💘 See you in October 😉

We’re getting back into the swing of things here at the farm ✨ After 9 long months away, it felt better than ever to work with our talented friends at DiAnoia's Eatery & Altius Modern Bistro. My mouth is watering just looking at this post, and if yours is too, don’t fret! We’ll be announcing more opportunities to dine with us before you know it 👀

While we’re typically months into our event season by now, behind the scenes we’ve been very busy bees.

Lucky for us, there is a fantastic feature in Pittsburgh Magazine that will catch you up on some exciting changes coming to CVF (linked in our bio). If you’re subscribed to our email list, you can also read about the updates there.

Regarding our new Teaching Kitchen & Event Space, construction related delays led to conflicts with 2026 events, so groundbreaking is now set for the fall. Indoor classes and events in the new space will begin in 2027.

We have also established a nonprofit branch of the farm, Churchview Hub for Education & Workshare (CHEW), with the goal of expanding our community programming. We’ll introduce our new board and share more details soon.

The 2026 event season is (finally!) kicking off later this month, and stay tuned for the launch of our Weeknight Dinner Series, coming soon ✨
