Purple Passion applesauce is in the freezer after being taste tested by these cuties! It's just the apples but you could always add a bit of syrup or sugar. It really is quite lovely.

The new menu is up! Two things to mention this week.

One: Did you know we have quite a few complete meals in the freezer (you might want to add a side salad)? Made me think of those Hungry Man meals I see in the freezer section of stores. Except we don't have little compartments and a quart could feed two unless you are really hungry, and we use as much local product as possible. Check out the freezer inventory!

The new menu is up and a tofu and veggie wonton soup is on it along with: Potato, Corn, and Poblano Chowder, Fall Harvest Tofu and Quinoa Salad, American Goulash, Chicken Biscuit Pot Pie, Japanese Shrimp and Rice Bowl, Smoked Cheddar Butternut Mac and Cheese, BBQ Chicken Dinner, Salisbury Steak Dinner, Gingerbread Cookie Bars, Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Parfait, Apple Raspberry Cobbler.

And the raspberries are from my garden! I'm still picking a quart a day!

The new menu is up! Here's a shot of the board we've used from day one at Spoon. Once orders are closed Monday at 11 it all gets captured on the board so we know how much to cook so there's less waste. When an item is freezable we make more to try to keep our freezer offerings well stocked.

This week we have Brown Butter, Sage, & Squash Bisque,
Greek Salad, Chicken and White Bean Chili, Cheesy Cauliflower, Sausage Stuffed Delicata Squash,
Vegetarian Taco Bowl, “Marry Me Chicken” Dinner,Beef Tips Dinner, Maple Pumpkin Whoopie Pies, Blueberry Muffins, Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Em's toffee apple muffins are on the menu. They're moist and decadent muffins made with NY state apples, pecans, and toffee, topped with streusel and a butterscotch drizzle (photo missing the drizzle). Order extra and make someone happy!

Check out all the things including Roasted Beet Dinner Salad, Kung Pow Tofu Bowl, Ground Lamb and Beef Shepherd's Pie, and
Corned Beef with Cabbage, Potatoes, and Carrots (our house made corned beef made with local brisket cured in spices and then slowly cooked until tender. Served with a side of potatoes, carrots, and cabbage all simmered in flavorful broth).

Order by 11 AM Monday for a Tuesday (or later) pickup or Wednesday delivery!

We get lots of our delicious local produce from Kent Family Growers. Dan reached out and said he had a bumper crop of delicious sweet seedless watermelons, both yellow and red! More than he can dispense in his CSA. I said we could sell them at pick up to help him out. Last week 10 were gone within the first 30 minutes. Doubling the number this week. I'll have 10 red and 10 yellow at $5 a melon (cash please). If you want one set aside for you for Tuesday between 3 and 6 you can let me know and I can do that! Otherwise, it will be first come, first served:)

They are quite yummy!

Something to consider..... tonight there is a small dinner meeting happening. They decided to look at the weekly menu and order dinner and dessert. We were able to prepare the main meal in a larger pan so they could reheat before the meeting. Perfect for smaller gatherings when full blown catering just doesn't work.

So if you have a small gathering where food is wanted, we may be able to creatively help you tying it to our weekly menu. Just email us to start a conversation!

This event at Higley Flow State Park is just around the corner! If you don't know all Higley has to offer, this is a great opportunity to explore the park. If you know all Higley offers, come and support the event or spread the word or just register as a donation. This park is a North Country gem and I for one can't wait to ski the trails this winter!

Big Spoon will be offering some food and drink for sale that day as well! Come join the fun!
