Up Front Horses Recreational Riding and Lesson Programs for Adults and Youth using saddlebred horses. We have been located in the Rice, Gilman, and Foley area for 22 years.

Situated on 62 acres with white buildings, corrals, turnouts, pastures, wooded trails, dirt roads, and an indoor arena with easy paved-road access; we provide a relaxed atmosphere for learning and recreating. We use mainly American Saddlebreds as our lesson horses and board horses of most breeds and disciplines. Our goal is to get others "excited about horses".

Char had a nice ride on Scarlett today. They walked and trotted in the arena. Scarlett was exhausted afterward (just ask her). They looked really good!

Noelle rode Velvet today. They walked and trotted in the arena and walked down the trail in the woods. They're both doing well and feeling more comfortable with each other every time they are together.

Kaitlyn rode Sandy today. They walked in the arena, on the trail, and on the driveway and trotted in the round pen. They had a really nice ride until Thempi came running into the arena and Sandy lost her cool and Kaitlyn had her first unplanned dismount. Everyone was fine but a little disoriented afterward.

Clarissa, Crystal, and Claire rode Heart today for the first time. They all walked in the arena and down the driveway and trotted in the round pen. All of them did very well. Heart was getting pretty tired while Claire rode but she still let Claire direct her. A good time was had by all.

Char enjoyed a quick ride in the arena on Scarlett today. They walked and negotiated the cones and tried to avoid all the flying dust and bugs caused by the wind and the neighbors harvesting their crops. They both were content with their time together.

Noelle rode a more enthusiastic Velvet today. They trotted in the round pen and walked in the arena and down the driveway a couple times. It may have been Velvet's first ride for the day but she still knew when it was time to be done.
