School is OUT! Fieldtrips to The Veggie Stand are IN! ☀️ 🚜 ♥️
Summer Field Trips start at the beginning of our corn harvest (usually mid June) and last until mid September.

The Pumpkin Patch at The Veggie Stand is the perfect place to bring your daycare, school, moms group or dads group, or church group for a low key, inexpensive, authentic, simple farm experience.

Enjoy a fantastic day out on a real working vegetable farm, complete with shade trees for picnics and a play area! When we open for vegetable season, our staff is prepared to direct educational field trips which must be requested on site the day of your visit. Please find one of our staffers, gather your children and we’ll give a talk about how vegetables grow.

For only $10 per Field Trip Participant, they will receive:

Six ears of Gallmeyer Farms FAMOUS Sweet Corn (retail value $5.00)
Sliced melon for your group to eat at our picnic area
A private hayride for the group
An educational presentation on the growth process of vegetables, from transplant through the relationship with the honeybee and ending with how we benefit from their relationship. (must be requested on site)
Picnic and play areas are also included.

Remembering Marilyn ❤️ two years ago, she was ushered into Heaven!
It seems fitting that, on a bright, beautiful, sunny May day-a farmer's dream day-the Lord called Marilyn Gallmeyer to her heavenly home. Her earthly work as wife, mother, friend and the original Matriarch of Gallmeyer Farms, will live on in the business she co-founded with husband Bill.
The Berry Patch, The Veggie Stand and The Pumpkin Patch are a living legacy to Marilyn's courage, tenacity and her desire to share her love of growing things. She took real pleasure in watching the dreams she and Bill shared take root and become reality. With her guidance and support, Gallmeyer Farms established itself as not only a family farm, but an agritourism
destination focused on giving families an opportunity to experience farming first hand.
Marilyn's smile, enthusiasm, love and dedication to the core values of family, farming and Faith will be missed by those who loved her.

It's nice when kiddos learn about real food. Not jars and cans of food, but the real deal. A trip to The Veggie Stand is a valuable experience. Our garden is on site. You can see our farm helpers watering and working to plant and harvest. There's usually a tractor around. And there are people who care, smile and interact.
It's been raining a lot. But it's always a certain kind of sunny and warm at The Veggie Stand.
