Introducing Marshmallow 🤍

When Marshmallow first arrived at Brown Brook Farmstead, she made sure everyone knew she had arrived. Head butts, little bumps, and plenty of sass, she was determined to find her place in the herd.

A few weeks later, we’re watching her slowly soften. The feisty attitude is calming, her trust is growing, and sweetest of all, Bambi has stepped in to become her very best friend 🐐

Sometimes rescue animals just need time, patience, and a friend who understands.

Welcome home, Marshmallow. We think you fit here perfectly 🤍

and Lilly B. followed behind to supervise the mission.

Honestly… they did a pretty good job. 🐾

Meet our newest rescue… 💕

They called her “Baby”, she’s a fixed feral kitty who had been trapped in someone’s basement. She’s safe with us now at Brown Brook Farm, and taking a few days to decompress before her vet checkup.

She allows gentle pets and is already showing little signs of trust, though you can see the hesitation that comes from a scary past. That’s okay… we move at her pace here.

Our promise to her: warmth, full bowls, soft beds, and all the patience she needs. 🐾
With love (and a little spoiling), we’re hoping she’ll soon learn she never has to be afraid again.

Thank you for supporting our rescue animals; every loaf of bread and baked good helps make stories like hers possible. 🤍

💔 Everyone thinks farming is all cute and fun.

And some days it is.

But there are also days that break your heart. 💔

Days of sickness.

Days of loss.

Today we lost our little Peanut 💔

He was a surprise delivery just under two years ago. Born first, always the tiniest one, a Nigerian/Nubian mix who stayed mini, but made up for it in personality.

He was gentle, curious, and quietly special in a way you can’t explain unless you live this life.

Today wasn’t a good day. Run free, sweet Peanut 🤍🐐

You were so loved.
