A little peek at the tablescape from Maddie’s Vino Before Vows...

I had a vision for this table, but Emily is the one who really brought it to life—and took it way beyond what I had pictured. She did all of the flowers, handled the setup and all those little finishing details, and then jumped right into helping with dishes once service started. She absolutely nailed it which is no surprise.

I custom made the w**e bottle labels and menus especially for Maddie because who doesn’t love a beautiful keepsake from such a special day?

And Alicia (not pictured!) was my right-hand gal in the kitchen. She kept things moving, handled all kinds of kitchen tasks, and somehow ended up manning the grill and opening vino against her will.

My only regret? As per usual, I somehow never got a picture of the COMPLETELY finished table with the linens, glassware and menus all in place. Or THE FOOD! 🤦🏻‍♀️

But trust me… she was STUNNING. 🤍

From my garden-to-table!

This was actually attempt #2 at tomato jam. The first time I decided smoking the tomatoes sounded like a great idea. And people loved it… but it tasted suspiciously like barbecue sauce. 😂 Not exactly the fresh summer tomato jam I had in my head.

So this time I used the Sun Gold and cherry tomatoes straight from my garden and kept it really simple. Very little added, just enough pectin to make it jammy, because I wanted it to still taste like those sweet, fresh tomatoes straight off the vine.

And THIS was precisely what I was going for.

Toasted bread, Boursin, tomato jam and fresh Thai basil. Sweet, savory, fresh and ridiculously good.

Now if only I could figure out how to grow these beauties all year long!

If you've seen me make this more than once this week.... no you didn't. 😂

This is officially my hyper-fixation meal of the summer, and I'm completely okay with that. Every bite is fresh, creamy, sweet, peppery, and just so good.

Creamy over baby arugula with juicy , fresh Thai basil and sweet basil, roasted pistachios, and a drizzle of balsamic. Simple ingredients, big flavor, and absolutely on repeat all summer long.
