Level 3 S*xually Violent Offender Jeremy Barrett Living in Deposit After Three Severe S*x Crimes Against Three Children, Sentenced to Only Five Years

Jeremy Barrett is a Level 3 (high-risk) S*xually Violent Offender residing in Deposit, Broome County. He was convicted in 2014 of Criminal S*xual Act in the First Degree by Forcible Compulsion and two counts of Course of S*xual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree — three Class B felonies — for repeatedly subjecting three female victims, ages 7, 8, and 17, to s*xual in*******se, deviate s*xual in*******se, and s*xual contact on multiple occasions, and for repeatedly exposing them to indecent materials. His DCJS file records that he used coercion, threats, and immediately and physically overpowered the victims. A computer and pornographic material were used in connection with the offenses. He was sentenced to only five years in state prison.
