"Chuck"

Currently still living with his roommates Bert the Goat, Cheyenne the sheep and Knox the Cat in a heated shed- definitely the most spoiled cow of the herd.

Birthday: Aug 30, 2025
Height: 23 inches tall
Fit check: 34 inch mini blanket

He is a steer and would be an ideal pet or companion animal.
I am guessing he will finish around the 40" mark once hes done growing.

Someone's wife has "Mini Cow" on her Christmas list! ๐ŸŽ„ ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿฎ

Contact for more info if you think you have the best home for him.

Well, we've had a good hard frost and the weather doesnt seem to be getting much warmer for now is the time to deworm!

The assortment of dewormer is for different species- horses, donkeys, Bert the goat, Cheyenne the sheep and our cows.

Same dewormer, but different, based on their needs.

This is the time when my horse identifies as a giraffe to try to avoid his meds ๐Ÿฅด Wish me luck!

This is the calm. The aftermath. This is actual farmhouse decor.

Our old girl, Splitty, gave birth to what seemed like a healthy bull calf Saturday Aug 30th.
(She has split ears from tags being ripped out in her past so that just stuck).
This was the birth I was most nervous for due to her age and past health issues.

Birth was a bit slower, but shes around the 12yrs old so thats not uncommon.
Babe stopped breathing- we got him back.
He got up, struggled to nurse a bit but figured it out.
Mama had barely any milk.
By Sunday afternoon we started supplementing with milk replacer. All was great and he caught on to the bottle quickly.
By Monday afternoon he was listless. Lethargic. Unable to stand or even hold his head up.
Through syringe feeding, medicating him and mama and feeding every 3hrs, and crossing our fingers, we got him back.
I am finally confident today that babe should be good from here on out. Hes a lucky one.

Mama is also doing great, still not much milk but shes loving all the treats and extra attention.
This will be her final calf on our farm and she will now live out her days filled with endless food and lots of back scratches.

We will continue bottle feeding this wee gaffer who has come to be known as "Chuck" and if he can snack from mama for now we'll allow it. If he drags her down too much we will wean early but we really try to keep them together as long as possible up to 3-4 months.

We won this time. We are so grateful he pulled through.

Thanks to Tammy Hall-Turner and Emily Turner for checking on him on day one and thanks to my mom Cheryl Price for bringing extra meds when my bag of tricks ran short.

Chad Smith and I appreciate your help!!
