Here's a few things that we've started this season with saved seeds. I'm particularly happy to see the Tea (Camellia sinensis) seeds vigorously growing after losing half of our Tea trees two Winters' ago. Live & Learn!
Other things in the works which I will post pictures of soon are:
~ The new Tea House at the farm for herbal tea processing. The drying room is generally ready to use now.
~ The no-till, meadow gardens are looking nice with the new, upper garden being expanded.
Farm (near Owen Sound) visits are available on Sundays and Mondays right now. Feel free to visit and/or participate in the good work. ✌️❤️🍵🌳

Seen here are some saffron (Crocus sativus) bulbs that were planted last autumn as an experiment to see how they would over-winter. The bulbs sent vigorous shoots up pretty quickly before being covered in a heavy mulch before Winter. This Spring the mulch has been pulled back to reveal beautiful, healthy plants. They will go dormant during the Summer heat and should hopefully flower in the fall.
