🎉 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿!

Tonia joined our Western Region field team as an 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗔𝗜) 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻, covering a leave in Districts 1 and 6. Her last day with us is August 31.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re thrilled to see what’s next as she heads back to school at 𝗢𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 (𝗢𝗩𝗖) in Guelph this September! 🐄🎓

“Tonia has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Her hard work, positive attitude, and willingness to help have made a real impact on our team,” said EastGen Regional Sales Manager Andrew den Haan.

With a BSc in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph and experience as a Bovine Care Specialist with Semex, Tonia is taking her passion for animals into an exciting new chapter.

EastGen invites nominations from 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 for the 2026 Feeding the Human Spirit Leadership Award.

🌟 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱

Established by EastGen in memory of the late 𝗗𝗿. 𝗧𝗶𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗮𝘄, this award celebrates individuals who reflect Tim’s legacy as a skilled veterinarian, educator, communicator, leader and mentor.

Tim was known for his integrity, generosity of spirit, commitment to his community, and his ability to inspire young people to challenge themselves and reach their potential.

The Feeding the Human Spirit Leadership Award recognizes those who carry those same qualities forward and aligns with EastGen’s ongoing commitment to 𝘼𝙜 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 – 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙.

The winner will receive:
A cash award provided by EastGen, and a keepsake memento.

We’re excited to welcome 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲 to the EastGen team in 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗸 as our new 𝗟𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗡𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁, reporting to Chris Peters, EastGen Liquid Nitrogen & Fleet Manager. Mackenzie joined EastGen on August 5.

A graduate of Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Agriculture, Mackenzie grew up on a small purebred cow-calf beef operation and brings a strong passion for the beef industry to her new role. She has been an active 4-H member for 16 years and is deeply involved in the beef cattle show community.
