Have you even seen the elves pulling a fawn from the deer in the woods? Me neither. Nature's rule is slope from hooks to pins for easy birthing. Don't let the academics fool you. Man may manipulate, but nature holds her truths. Slope from hooks to pins = larger pelvic opening. A wider reproductive tract means easy calving and is nature's rule for calving unassisted. Level hooks to pins may make a heifer more muscular and more suited for fattening in the feedlot, but that is exactly where a masculine heifer belongs. No matter what the big money at the show tells you, level hooks to pins does not add to her maternal capabilities. It only takes eyes to see. Nature has her own rules, and we would be wise to pay attention.
