Although this shot didn’t exactly go to plan… (just a little behind the scenes action all in the name of getting the perfect picture!) – we do have the perfect sausages for those Bank Holiday BBQs this weekend.

One of our butcher’s favourites for the BBQ are these homemade Jalapeno Honey Hog sausages.
Pork sausage made with sweet honey, plenty of jalapenos and a generous seasoning of Holy Jalapeno from our friends at .

If you prefer something a little less spicy – we have plenty of other choice available – 10 to be precise – with something to suit everyone’s taste. All made here on site in our butchery.

Tasters available all weekend on the counter whilst stocks last.

🐝 World Bee Day 🐝
Wednesday 20th May 2026

Honey Tasting Event:
To mark World Bee Day, we are pleased to be hosting a honey tasting event on Sunday 24th May in our Gardeners Courtyard, in collaboration with Sussex producers Little Bees Larder

Little Bees Larder is a local, independent producer specialising in raw, unprocessed honey sourced from carefully managed hives in Sussex. Their work champions sustainable beekeeping practices.

Bees play a vital role in sustaining our natural world and food systems. Through pollination, they support the growth of many of the fruits, vegetables, and crops we rely on every day - contributing to both biodiversity and global food security.

However, bee populations are under increasing pressure due to habitat loss, pesticide use, and the effects of climate change.

There are simple ways we can all help the bee population flourish:
• Plant a variety of nectar-rich flowers throughout the seasons
• Reduce or avoid the use of pesticides in gardens
• Support local producers and sustainable beekeeping
• Create or preserve natural spaces for pollinators

We were truly lucky with the weather this Bank Holiday - with the showers thankfully holding off until the evening!

It was lovely to see so many people enjoying the popular highlight of the weekend which was our cider tasting event with Mainomenos cider - held outside the Cider Barn.

Crafted here on site, single-handedly by Joe Marsh. It was fantastic to see such interest and appreciation for his work, with many taking the opportunity to learn more about this fantastic cider, have a taste, and take a bottle (or two) home!
