This event was a huge hit last year, and we’re SO excited to be back! Cool off with a shaved ice or frozen lemonade from Happy Ice, then stop by our friends at San Taco for lunch. 👏
Let’s roll! 🏁🏎️
The Second Annual Soap Box Derby is set for Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. along Main Street from Partington Place to Pecan Street. *Registration is now open and free to all racers!
This year we’re proud to partner with Feeding Southwest Virginia (celebrating their 45th anniversary in 2026!) with an on-site food drive and outreach on how the public can support their efforts to end hunger across the region.

Big Wheel Race: Ages 3–7 (free registration)
