We only had about 40 nucs left after sales ended and today we're putting them in 10 frame boxes. Some of them are so strong they barely fit. All of our hives are being treated with formic acid as the temperature is perfect for it. 🐝

These bees swarmed from a hive about a hundred yards from here. They came in to where we were working on some boxes, and decided to take one of them over. I consider that pretty lucky because i'm used to having to climb trees. 🐝

We totally sold out of pollen patties at the nuc pickup on May 2nd, and as promised, we are bringing many more on Saturday May 16th. $5 each 2 per package. We will also have mated queens $40. A friend of mine, Red Ace Apiaries, sent me this photo yesterday reminding me that it's that time of year in North Idaho that you either split or bee split. It's easy enough to tilt up your top box and look underneath for swarm cells. Or better yet, just make your bees happy by doing a split. 🐝

Bears can really do alot of damage to a bee yard. 🐝

Bees in our upside down pollen feeders. As the bees feed the pollen sprinkles down and gets all over them. Some old timers told me that when these bees return to the colony with pollen all over them it excites and stimulates the whole hive kicking the queen into high gear. See.s to work ok for us. 🐝
