This was the final week of the year for mobile market program for the mom's bags with the local hospital.

We dropped a whole car load of produce off to Augusta Locally Grown yesterday.

Massive weekend of picking veggies and my helper didn't show up so I had to do it all solo..

Bitter sweet end to the wholesale season.

People ask how we always have the cleanest tender turnip greens!
We harvest them with a hand held greens machine and we never harvest the leaf laying down, bonus the rope pulling wheel knock any sand off of the greens also.

We will have baby turnip greens this week at the following

Yesterday this field was grit corn and today it's our next planting of onions..

We like to plant onions and garlic behind corn due to the organic material of the corn is tilled into the soil.

Tilling in 15ft tall corn increases organics and water holding capacity of our sandy soil. Doing this gives us that massive garlic you see on our market wagon.

Tomorrow we will plant the first round of garlic for 2027 harvest!

Want to know why red grits taste so good?

Cause these dang things grow almost to God himself!

Yes this corn grows so tall I have to use a tractor loader extended almost all the way up to pick it.

Ear one is about 5ft high and ear two is about 9ft up.

BTW osha didn't approve this method of harvesting at all and we got farm tags from the dmv so we should be exempt too!!

So now ya know how your grits are made, hand picked, hand shucked and hand shelled!
