Fall crops going in, only a couple more weeks for outdoor planting of quick growing crops. August is a beautiful blur of huge twice a week Harvests as well as continuous planting for Fall. still a long way to go with this growing season but making it through August feels like an accomplishment.

What a great display of Small Axe Farm veges put on by the amazing crew in the produce department Littleton Food Coop for their eat local month weekly farmer spotlight. Littleton Food Coop has been buying food from our small Hill farm for over 15 years, they were so critical in the early years of our farm , providing support and a market for our produce. So many local businesses have been able to grow and thrive from having such a well run and great Store in our North Country community where their products can be sold. We are always proud to see our food on the shelves and remember well the day when we first walked in with a flat of heirloom tomatoes in 2010 and Rodney, the produce manager said "those are beautiful we would love to sell those here!"
