Domaine des Carlines 2024 -Jura PoulsardđŸ·

A bright, gently aromatic Poulsard from the Jura’s Domaine des Carlines. This light- to medium-bodied red is lifted by lively acidity, soft, silky tannins, and pure fruit that sings of red cherries, wild strawberry, and subtle spice. Its refreshing energy and savory finesse make this a versatile bottle — equally at home with charcuterie, lighter fare, or just a glass on its own.

Translucent in the glass and quietly aromatic, this Poulsard leans into Jura’s signature delicacy. Tart cranberry and crushed red currant lead, followed by subtle earth, dried rose, and a faint mineral snap. The texture is silky and lifted rather than weighty, with bright acidity keeping everything focused and precise. Light in color but not in character, it’s a red that rewards a slight chill and pairs effortlessly with charcuterie, roast chicken, or alpine cheeses.

Foradori Lezùr 2025 - Alpine Red 🍒

Elisabetta Foradori’s Lezùr is a bright, unconventional take on Teroldego from the Dolomite foothills of Alto Adige. Built for lift rather than weight, it shows how alpine fruit and careful farming can produce a red that’s vibrant, textured, and quietly complex.

Made predominantly from Teroldego with a small percentage of local varieties (mostly Lagrein), Lezùr captures freshness and mountain clarity while keeping the depth and character that define Foradori’s work.

Foradori’s Lezùr is a bright, unconventional take on Teroldego from the sunny Dolomite foothills.

Light and lively, with pomegranate, cranberry, hints of Yirgacheffe coffee, and a tart, refreshing finish.

PIEDMONTE 101 with Frank Graniero đŸ·

For our next wine class, we’ll be diving into Piedmont with Frank Graniero of AP Wine, exploring one of Italy’s most important wine regions through a focused lineup of classic varieties and appellations.

The tasting will move from the freshness and everyday charm of Dolcetto and Barbera, into the structure, aromatics, and depth of Nebbiolo — including Langhe Nebbiolo, Barolo, Barbaresco, and a few more site-specific expressions.
This is a great opportunity to understand how Piedmont’s wines shift across grape, village, vintage, and producer style — from approachable regional bottlings to more structured, age-worthy wines.

The lineup includes:

Dolcetto from Diego Conterno
Barbera from Nizza
Ghiomo - Langhe Nebbiolo
Barolo Diego Conterno
Barbaresco Morsassino
Le Coste di Monforte
La Morra from Crissante

Frank will guide the tasting with context on the producers, appellations, and the character of each wine, making the class useful for both curious beginners and anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Piedmont.

Shining Blanc 2019✹Old Vine Chenin from Loiserberg

A quietly powerful Chenin Blanc from Stefanie and Alwin Jurtschitsch, inspired by the great wines of the Loire but rooted firmly in Austria. Shining Blanc comes from old vines planted in mica schist on the Loiserberg, a site that brings both energy and depth. This is Chenin with tension, texture, and mineral drive — structured, layered, and built to evolve.

Crafted from Chenin Blanc grown on mica schist soils, this wine balances vivid acidity with textural breadth. Subtle orchard fruit, citrus oil, and crushed stone unfold over a firm mineral spine. Fermented with native yeast and handled with restraint, it shows clarity, tension, and length.

Domaine des Marnes Blanches — Jura Trio đŸ·

Fromont farm organically across marl and limestone soils, working parcel by parcel to capture the nuance of each site. Fermentations are spontaneous, Ă©levage is measured, and sulfur use is minimal — a transparent, site-focused approach that has made Domaine des Marnes Blanches one of Jura’s most compelling young estates.
This lineup highlights three distinct expressions: the featherweight charm of Poulsard, the tension and depth of Chardonnay from Les Molates, and the vibrant lift of traditional-method Crémant du Jura.

Thomas Pico - Pattes Loup đŸș Chablis

Thomas Pico farms some of the oldest vines in Chablis, working organically since the early 2000s with a relentless focus on vineyard health and low yields. His approach is patient and uncompromising: later harvests for full physiological ripeness, native fermentations, extended aging on lees, and minimal sulfur. The result is Chablis with uncommon depth and texture — wines that balance mineral precision with real breadth and aging capacity.

These are not lean, anonymous Chablis. They are site-driven, structured, and built with intention.

Pattes Loup, 1er Cru Chablis ‘Beauregard’, 2022

A refined Premier Cru with pronounced mineral density and layered complexity. From hillside vineyards farmed organically and biodynamically, this Chablis offers lifted lemon and orchard fruit framed by briny tension and chalky depth. There’s real structural intensity here, with saline drive and a long, resonant finish that speaks to both site and meticulous vineyard work.

Pattes Loup, Vent d’Ange Chablis, 2022

A vibrant and textural village-level Chablis that captures the hallmark purity of Pico’s style. Racy citrus and grapefruit aromas mingle with wild herb and oyster shell notes, while bright acidity and a crystalline mineral core keep the palate fresh and focused. Energetic and vivid, this bottling delivers striking drinkability with notable depth and persistence.

Lights out value from the Languedoc đŸ·

From Benjamin Taillandier in the Minervois, Oh, My Jolie Syrah nods to Johnny Hallyday’s “Oh Ma Jolie Sarah” — but unlike the Rolling Stones French ripoff, this wine is real. This is Syrah built on freshness rather than weight, showing how bright and lifted the variety can be when handled with restraint. Juicy dark fruit, cracked pepper, and a subtle herbal edge give this bottle vibrancy and ease — structured enough for the table, relaxed enough to open anytime.

Dark cherry and blackberry meet cracked pepper, violet, and a savory mineral note. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and supple tannins, this is Syrah with lift and clarity rather than heaviness. Farmed organically and made with minimal intervention to preserve fruit purity and balance, it delivers energy, drinkability, and unmistakable Minervois character.
