Did you know that there’s a term called “winter crazy” which is a state like cabin fever and in more severe cases can develop into Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) from being cooped up and feeling stir-crazy during the winter months 🥶.

Well…I am.
Coping mechanisms include light therapy, music, comfort food and active activities.

Luckily it is the start of seed planting season.
I plan on battling this phenomenon by engorging myself with sourdough bread and coffee, while listening to my favorite blues and jazz players in a bright room with grow lights and my fingers deep in dirt.

Here’s what I’ll be startingin January:

Onions and leeks (to be honest i started these already couldn’t wait ☺️)

Followed by:
Lettuce
Spinach
Swiss chard
Kale
Celery
Tatsoi

These will go out early in March into a cold frame for aome protection.

Herbs:
Parsley
Chives (need a permanent spot as these are perennials )

Flowers :
Delphiniums
Snapdragons
Pansy
Begonias

These take a long time to grow (10-12weeks) and can directly transplanted in April.
