Its beginning to feel a lot like Fall here on the farm! 🍁🍁🍁

The stand is stocked up with soooo many fun autumnal items to give your home the spirit of the season, including:

•Fresh flower bouquets
•Dried flower bouquets
•Corn stalk bundles
•Dried flower pumpkins
•Fresh picked apples

We have even more goodies coming soon, so stay tuned for more Fall fun!

It's officially autumn 🍂

The field is getting tired. The farmers are getting tired. There is still a lot of fresh floral beauty coming through our hands, but one frost hits and it's all over.

You don't need a reason to buy fresh flowers. It's almost October is reason enough! We'll still have lots of beautiful pieces for you to bring home over the next few months, including decorative pumpkins, corn stalk bundles, and Christmas wreaths....

But the flowers are almost done, and it'll be a long wait till tulips in the spring 🌷

Cover crop 🌱 is down on the new field 🙌

Turning this area from grass turf into productive farmland was never going to be quick or easy. It may take us a few years to get the soil structure where we'd like it to be, but cover crop will help speed the process along.

After an initial till to break up the grass, we started watering the field to help w**d seeds germinate.

In the meantime, we spread multiple cubic yards of aged manure (with buckets, by hand 🙃) to get some refreshed fertility into the soil.

Next we rolled through with our disc harrow to incorporate the manure and kill the w**ds.

Then we got to seed! We used VitalizeSeed Carbon Load, a specially blended 17-species mix designed to build soil health over the winter.

McGyver (aka Farmer Jake) rigged up some chain link fence panels to rake the seed into the soil... and voila!

Now all we have to do is water and wait ✨️

Apple season is officially here! 🍎🍎🍎

We've been out in the orchard this week harvesting bucket loads of these beauties. Honeycrisp, Jonagold, Jonamac, Liberty... and more!

Stop in at the stand this weekend to pick up a bag of fresh-picked fruit or a bouquet of flowers, all grown right here in Coupeville. Selections are also available through Whidbey Island Grown for pickup around the Island or home delivery.

Well folks, we've got a little surprise for you the next time you stop by the farmstand... we've moved it up to the barn!

And of course Farmer Jake makes it look easier than easy 😜

In celebration of Eat Local Month we've decided to open up our farm for some meet and greet sessions each Saturday in September. Come say hello! Ask us all of your questions. Get to know who we are, what we do, and tell us a little about yourselves.

We have so many big dreams for our farm and how we can impact our little corner of our community. We're so excited to connect and share with you all!

Its official - first ground has been broken on the new farm! Beyond excited for this new chapter in our life and business. Also ✨️incredibly✨️ grateful to have the tractor back up and running, she's a total game changer when planning out what we are actually able to accomplish each season. Fall cover crop, here we come 🌱
