The chicken coop has gotten a mural, the roadside stand now has a matching refresh, and the garden has a new rustic garden party table that I’m hoping will soon be surrounded by dahlias 😻

This little place has slowly become a reflection of something I deeply believe:
We only live once. We might as well fill our spaces — and our lives — with beauty, color, creativity, and joy.

It’s been a very full spring with family coming first, so things have moved a little slower around here than originally planned. But little by little, it’s all coming together.

We’re hoping to officially open for the first time Memorial Day weekend, and I’m so excited to finally start sharing more of it with you all soon 😊

Each morning the children feed the babies, mom and dad sip on coffee, and afterwards we watch a baby goat display of parkour 😂🥰

Look at all those gorgeous fabrics! Any guess on what I’ll be making next? 🐝🍓🐈‍⬛🥕

What does a Realistic timeline look like?
Pregnancy, toddlerhood, winter, and 1 year later I have it FUNCTIONAL. Love that I did not put unrealistic expectations on myself as a postpartum momma to finish this. More to come - as I add a splash of color that should bring myself and hopefully the community some joy 🤗

We are pleased to introduce Petunia and Tawny, the newest additions to our family as 4-H goats for the children. We are thrilled!

They will officially make their way home when they are tattooed and registered in a few days 🤗🤗🤗🥰

Hi there, Heather here! 🌿

I’ve been a little quiet on social media lately, but I truly appreciate your support and wanted to share a quick update on what I’ve been working on.

Lately I’ve been reworking my garden and adding some new features to the space. As I spent more time out there, I realized there were areas that could be used more intentionally. My goal has been to make the garden not just productive, but also cozy — a place where family and friends can gather among the veggies and flowers.

I’m dreaming of morning coffee, craft time, water table play, garden parties, and dinners out here surrounded by the garden.

Another project I’ve been slowly working on is something I’ve always wanted — a pumpkin patch! It’s been a bit of a low-key obsession trying to make one work on our semi-wooded lot.

To help make that happen, I’ve been building something called hugelkultur. It’s a gardening method where dead trees and logs form the core of a mound of organic material. As the wood slowly decomposes, it acts like a sponge that holds moisture for the plants growing on top.

Since our backyard tends to be pretty wet in early spring, those logs should get “charged” with moisture — which means this part of the garden might eventually run a little on autopilot. At least that’s the hope! 🤞🎃

Have you ever tried hugelkultur or grown your own pumpkin patch? I’d love to hear your experiences!

I’ve been working on reformulating my candles to fit smaller vessels with a standard wick for 2026. Lux wax with lux fragrance in a no frills vessel.

How do we feel about this? 8 oz candle would be $12, 4 oz candle $6.

My new friend said he’d keep an eye on the garden seedlings for me. Do we think he will do an adequate job? Or should we be afraid of world domination? 😂 #1986
