Our state fair fun is done, back at it at the Cidery! This weekend’s events below.

🍔Friday Night Feast 9/4 open 4-9pm. Smashburgers by Smoke BBQ! This includes food options from the Keepsake menu, delectable raspberry tarts with whipping cream from Martha’s Eats & Treats as well as cookies by the Bread People. Live music from “Free Ranger” Rae Rusnak from 5-8pm. Get ready for blues, harmonica and all!

🪕 Saturday 9/5 we are open from 12-8pm with our local food and expansive beverage menu. Live music from local favorite “Tractorhead” from 4-7pm. This crowd favorite brings full-on bluegrass energy every time and will keep you wanting more!

🌼Sundays on the Farm 9/6 open 12-6pm with live music from “Dimestore Watch” from 2-4pm. This is a seasoned group of musicians with a wide variety of musical talents. Our full food and beverage menu is available.

Visit during any of our open hours to wander the orchards, relax, unwind and put your feet up.

We are closed Labor Day, Monday.

We made our annual trip to the fair to work the Minnesota Cider Guild booth. Then we enjoyed our favorite foods and sampled beverages. You can drink local ciders like Sweetland Orchard Sapsucker Farms Wild State Cider and Minneapolis Cider Company plus we were excited to try name fermentation and Idyll Forest of Pryes Brewing Company- love to see mixed fermentation and SPONTANEOUS ferment at the fair. The beauty of the fair is that all are welcome and it feels like we all( at least most) truly get together!

Another lovely weekend at Keepsake, kicked off with the popular Friday Night Farmer’s Feast Steak Night!

WEEKEND UPDATES

🥩Friday Night Feast! 8/28 open 4-9pm. Farmer’s Feast Steak Night featuring farmers Julian and Nate grilling up Hanappe Ranch meats. This includes seasonal sides and delectable tarts from Martha’s Eats & Treats as well as cookies by the Bread People. Live music from 4 Down/6 Across whose music runs the gamut with a focus on bluegrass from 5-8pm.

🎶Saturday the 29th of August we are open from 12-8pm with our local food and expansive beverage menu. Live music from Greenvale Manitou and Shaping Flame from 4-7pm. Cedric Brand is the common thread with this 2 for 1 music treat and brings an eclectic fusion of world music with Greenvale Manitou and a 5-piece alt & indie rock band with Shaping Flame. You will experience multiple genres of music over this afternoon, innovative and exciting!

🌼Sundays on the Farm 8/30 open 12-6pm with live music from “In Tandem” from 2-4pm. Quirky, fun music from a talented duo of musicians who play a variety of folk, roots and Americana standards on guitar mandolin, banjo, and ukuleles with vocal harmonies. Our full food and beverage menu is available.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our first ever Spontaneous Fest! Open mics- original songs- improve comedy- batons - croquet- drum, ukulele, guitar jams- pop up market and tons of delicious spontaneous fermented drinks! Let’s do it again next year!

Check out the beverage line up (of course, all our ciders and wines are spontaneous, but we’ve got some similarly minded guests today) and all the goings on including a pop up vendor market, music jams in the farm (bring your instrument, and open mic!

🌎 Saturday the 22nd of August we are open from 12-8pm with our local food and expansive beverage menu. Live music from Gonzo’s Planet from 4-7pm. They are a wildly fun group of musicians who play music with a creative jazzy spin on classic tunes.

Spontaneous Fest is getting better and better the closer and closer we get to Sunday. Aug 23 12pm-

First- Call to all artists- Open mic 12- 1:45pm. On the Covered Porch stage! This is your chance to play a song or two, read your story, poetry, essay, try out your stand up,,,,, There will also be a fun prompt challenge for anyone wanting to get a little spontaneous. Send an email to keepsakeciderygmail.com if you want to sign up before Sunday. Up to ten minutes per person.

Live music, food, beer, cocktails and cider(Keepsake) all in downtown Northfield tonight!

Join us next week for August's Third Thursday, featuring music from Los Rebeldes. Come on down to Bridge Square for live music, dancing, food trucks, drinks from Tanzenwald Brewing Company, and deals at several local businesses.

Event Details:

Time – the event will run each month from 5pm – 8pm
Seating – Picnic tables and Red Chairs from Age Friendly will be available or you can bring your own down.
Location – The showmobile stage will be set up in Bridge Square in front of the Post Office.
Parking – Free Parking is available in the 5th & Water Street Parking Lot, 5th & Washington Parking Lot. Street parking is available on Division Street, 4th Street, and 5th Street.
Food – Many of the great local restaurants have special hours or deals during Third Thursday. There will also be a different food truck each month parked in front of the History Center. Follow our social media to see what specials are happening that month.
Drinks – The Fermentation Friends, a group of local craft beverage makers will be serving alcoholic drinks on Bridge Square. Water and Soda is available from Fifty North’s popcorn wagon near the Bridge Square Fountain.
