Wednesday W**e Feature: Fir Crest—a true family affair from vineyard to bottle.🍷

Fir Crest Vineyard is a 23-acre site (9 acres planted to vine) nestled among the Douglas firs in the foothills of Oregon’s Coast Range. First planted in 1985, the vineyard has been owned and sustainably farmed by the Moshier family since 2020. The Fir Crest w**es are sourced exclusively from this vineyard.

Located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA at 300–400 feet elevation, Fir Crest is planted to Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, with a southeast-facing aspect.

One of the most fascinating parts of this site is what’s beneath the vines. 🌊🌲 Fir Crest’s marine sedimentary soils of the Willakenzie Series were formed from ancient ocean sediments, including the fossilized remains of sea life from millions of years ago. That deep geological history gives the vineyard a unique sense of place and plays an important role in shaping the w**es.
