Thin and depressing alfalfa, cover crops, and our hay fields in general despite a pile of money in fertilizer - this third year stand of alfalfa should be rolling heavy now, $5 off road, and not a lot of rain in sight. Our biggest positive is by far the best help and neighbors we can ask for.

Despite that, forever grateful and thankful for another opportunity to do what we love for another year! Many thoughts and prayers for those down in Southside and the Eastern half of the state, the Deep South and Plains states who have an even more ominous outlook on their rain chances and have gotten a lot less than us the last few weeks.

Coming from someone who just ordered a tank load of off road diesel and is having 50 acres of fertilizer spread today there is a lot of value in this workshop!

Dress for the weather and farm terrain! Our "classroom" will be on a working farm. We will have some chairs, but you may want to bring a camping chair that is easy to carry for out in the field if you need to take a break.
