One last cheer for our original New Flavor Contest winner: Pineapple Upside Down Maple Syrup.

When we held our inaugural contest back in 2022, none of us here could have predicted that Pineapple Upside Down Cake would be the winner. Luckily, our flavor alchemists were up to the challenge. Using all-natural ingredients, we created a syrup that somehow captures this iconic dessert in a bottle. It tastes of caramelized pineapple, tangy cherry, and even has an element of “cake” in the flavor profile.

This is our last run of Pineapple Upside-Down (and Banana Rum Maple Syrup)... once they are gone, we don't have plans to bring them back. Stock up while you can!

Back to school season is upon us. No need to overcomplicate breakfasts... let maple syrup be the star! Drizzle it on yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, pancakes and waffles (fresh or freezer variety, we don’t judge). For a special after school treat, enjoy it as an ice cream topper or apple dipping sauce.

For larger maple operations like ours, the summer and fall are for maintenance. We have over 700 miles of tubing snaking throughout the woods and the elements and critters take their toll on it.

The winter season is very hectic, with the constant pressure to get as much sap as possible in a short period of time. When things Runamok, we often rig up whatever works as a temporary fix so we can get back to the most important job: making syrup. In the summer and fall, the crew can take the time to address those more complicated repairs.

Traditional grenadine is made with pomegranate juice (from the French gr***de) and sugar. Nowadays most grenadine is a chemical concoction combined with High Fructose Corn Syrup resulting in a sickly sweet red syrup. ⁠

We’ve gone back to the original recipe subbing out refined sugar for maple syrup and keeping the ingredient list 100% all natural. Instead of Red 40 and Blue 1, you’ll find real fruit and vegetable juices; in place of artificial flavors, pomegranate and lime juice; Maple Syrup brings the sweetness in place of High Fructose Corn Syrup – you get the idea.⁠
