Keets update: After these mamas shared the nest for over a month, they were finally successful in hatching 10 keets! Due to several factors, I ended up bringing the babies inside to raise for a couple weeks. Some of them went off to a new coop and today I tried introducing the rest back to the flock. Right away, they bonded with our "teen" keet - the lone survivor of this year's first guinea hatch, raised by their parents but lately spending most of the time with our other young birds. I'm so happy to see them getting along so quickly and hope this will make for an easy transition to outside life for the little ones.
