• A family tradition.
• A girls' day.

• A Sunday afternoon.
• A bottle of w**e brought home from vacation.
• A place where somebody proposed.
• A place where somebody celebrated.

Or maybe simply...
• the place your parents used to take you.

Chateau Morrisette's story began back in 1978, when William, Nancy and David Morrisette planted the first vines here in the mountains of Floyd County. The first commercial w**es followed in 1982.

That's more than 45 years of memories. And we're pretty sure our walls could tell some stories. ❤️

Hope you all have been having an awesome Holiday Weekend! It's been a great weekend already from Ballroom Dancing Friday Night to the Americana Festival and The Meeting playing music Saturday and then Matt Johnson giving us music yesterday! But.... the WEEKEND ISN'T OVER YET! 😉

If you enjoyed The Meeting Saturday, come back to see them again today! They will be providing music from 1pm to 4pm in our Courtyard.

Whether you've ventured to the Hillsville flea market, stopped by hundreds of yard sales, or just brushed up on the To-Do list around the house... today is a good day to rest and enjoy and savor every last drop of the Labor Day holiday! Come out, enjoy some w**e and good music!

Sunday has a soundtrack. And this Sunday, it's R&B + Soul. 🎶

Come spend the afternoon with Matt Johnson Entertainment, live at Chateau Morrisette from 1–4 PM.

Sunday doesn't have to be complicated. Maybe it's a leisurely lunch. Maybe it's a glass of w**e. Maybe it's sitting outside listening to music with nowhere else you need to be. Maybe it's all three. 🍷🍽️🎶

And after a busy Labor Day Saturday, we're thinking a little R&B and Soul sounds like a pretty perfect way to slow things down.

🕺 "But I can't dance."

PERFECT.

Neither can half the people who are going to be there! 😂

Okay, we don't actually know that...

But here's what we DO know:
🐾 You don't need experience.
🐾 You don't need a partner.
🐾 And you don't need to be a great dancer.
🐾 You just need to be willing to have a little fun.

This Friday, Kris & Andrew McLemore will be teaching Ballroom Dance Lessons at Chateau Morrisette. (NO fancy dress shoes or heels required! 😉)

And while you're learning, 100% of your $5 admission—or $10 family admission—goes to a therapeutic riding program for children and adults with special needs. ❤️❤️

So even if your dance moves are questionable... Your reason for showing up isn't.
