Okayyy… I’m thinking about doing something fun at Blooming Woods this weekend. 🌸✂️

Would anyone be interested in a little **YOU-PICK FLOWER EXPERIENCE** at the farm?! 👀💐

The new big flower field is still showing off with:
🌸 LOTS of zinnias
🧡 LOTS of celosia
🌼 Cosmos
🌻 A few sunflowers
💛 Marigolds + other fun little blooms mixed in

And I do still have some gorgeous dahlias and lisianthus growing in the smaller patch, but since there aren’t tons of those left, I’m thinking I would cut the dahlias ahead of time and offer them as an optional add-on. 😍

Nothing fancy — just come out to the farm, wander through the flowers, cut yourself a beautiful bundle, take some pictures, and enjoy a little fall flower time. 🍂💐

Had so much fun designing this HoCo bouquet last week! 💐✨

I love getting to take someone’s colors and turn them into something totally unique using flowers grown right here at Blooming Woods. 🌸

There’s just something extra special about being a tiny part of those big milestone moments. 💕

Spooky season, but make it flowers. 🎃👻🌸

The garden is definitely getting into the Halloween spirit around here! These fall blooms are showing off in all the best oranges, reds, pinks and autumn tones — and I’m soaking up every last bit of flower season while I can. 🧡

Who says Halloween has to be all black and orange? Around Blooming Woods, we prefer a little dahlia drama with our spooky season. ✨

Well… the flowers had a beautiful day at McConnelsville Coffee.

The flower wagon, however, has apparently decided it would like to stay there a little longer. 😂🌷🛞

Sometime during today’s pop-up, we ended up with a flat tire, so Blooming Woods Flower Farm may have accidentally extended its stay in the parking lot.

The good news: I made some really pretty flower arrangements today.

The bad news: none of them know how to change a tire. 😅

So at this point, I am unofficially accepting tire-changing services in exchange for flowers. 💐😂

But really, I also want to say a huge thank you to McConnelsville Coffee for having us today and for being so welcoming and supportive of another local small business.

And an even bigger thank you to everyone in the community who stopped by, bought flowers, chatted with me, shared the post, or simply came over to see what Blooming Woods was all about. Days like today remind me how special it is to be part of a community that shows up for local businesses.

Even with a flat tire, today was absolutely worth it. 🌸☕💗

🌸✨ THE MYSTERY FLOWER HAS BEEN REVEALED! ✨🌸

If you stopped by our Blooming Woods Flower Farm pop-up at McConnelsville Coffee today, go take another look at your bouquet… 👀💐

Today’s mystery flower was this incredible split-color zinnia — one side blooming a beautiful bright pink, while the other side came out almost completely white with pink streaking. 💗🤍

We only had ONE flower like this in everything we harvested, and it went home tucked inside one lucky bouquet today!

Come grab your favorite coffee, take a stroll through the flowers, and build a little happiness into your Friday. 🌷

✨ BUT… we brought something extra special today.

Hidden among all of our blooms is **ONE very special flower** — and there’s only ONE of it. 👀🌸

Blooming Woods Flower Farm is popping up at McConnelsville Coffee!

Come see us Friday, September 18 from 10AM–2PM at the new picnic area above the coffee shop.

We’ll have our mobile flower wagon stocked with fresh, locally grown blooms and ready-made bouquets for you to grab while you’re picking up your favorite coffee.

We found the cutest little garden visitor today — a spicebush swallowtail caterpillar. 🐛💛

These funny-looking little guys eventually become the gorgeous black-and-blue spicebush swallowtail butterflies we see floating through the flowers. Their big “eyes” aren’t actually eyes at all — they’re markings meant to make the caterpillar look a little more intimidating to predators. Pretty clever for something so tiny!

Spicebush swallowtails use native plants like spicebush and sassafras as host plants, where the caterpillars feed and grow before forming a chrysalis and beginning that amazing transformation into a butterfly. 🦋

I love that the girls get to find little bits of science and magic right here at home. Sometimes the best garden lessons are the ones you stumble across while wandering around outside together.

Just another reminder that when we make room for native plants, flowers, and a little bit of wildness, we’re making room for some pretty incredible creatures too. 💛🌿
