Meet our tiny garden crew 🌱🪿

These little fluff balls are Chinese White goslings and they’re already starting their training to become “w**der geese” at Blooming Woods Flower Farm 💚

At just 2½ weeks old, they’re learning that life on the farm means helping with the garden, nibbling w**ds, and following me around like feathery toddlers 😂

Nature’s w**d control… but way cuter. 🌿✨

Now we need names! Assuming one is a boy and one is a girl… what should we call our newest farm helpers? 👀🪿💕

This sweet goose has decided overalls are the safest place on the farm today 🌼 Between chores, flowers, ducks, and now goslings, there is never a dull moment at Blooming Woods.

Honestly… tiny honks and fuzzy cuddles make the hard days a whole lot softer. 🥹

Who else would absolutely carry a baby goose around all day if they could? 😂👇

Duck egg update from the Jumbo Pekin crew! 🐣💛

We already have a few babies hatched, and we have more expected to hatch in the next 2–6 days!

These eggs are coming from my Jumbo Pekin group here on the farm. My two drakes — the males — came from last year’s 4-H auction and went for a premium price, and they have grown into such beautiful boys. They’ve also been very good to their females, which I really appreciate.

As you can see in the picture, they’re beautiful ducks, great layers, and super friendly too. One of the females has the prettiest pale beak, and another has that classic bright orange Pekin beak. I love seeing the little differences in them!

Excited to see these babies hatch and watch this sweet flock grow. 🦆💛

Late-night farm chores lately have looked a little different around here 😅🦝

We’ve been safely trapping raccoons and relocating them far away from the farm to help protect our ducks. Our ducks are a huge part of how we grow flowers naturally here at Blooming Woods Flower Farm 🌷🦆

They spend their days hunting slugs, insects, and other garden pests so we can reduce sprays and grow flowers as naturally as possible. They’re not just cute little farm waddlers… they’re part of the team 💛

Farm life is beautiful, but protecting your animals is a real part of it too. So for now, the nighttime wildlife taxi service is officially in operation 🚚🦝➡️🌲

The ducks are safe, the flowers are growing, and hopefully the raccoons are starting a new adventure very far from here 😅
