Sorry for not posting for a while. Things have been crazy busy this last week between planting my garden, and making soap for events I plan on going to this year. I have lots of exciting things coming up in the next couple of days to share with you, including a new place I'm going to be selling vegetables at! Will share some updates on this later in the week. As far as vegetables go for this year I plan on having heirloom tomatoes, peppers, popcorn, sweet corn, dried beans, multicolored string beans, and possibly some pumpkins this fall. I also plan on having soap and Honey for sale at the farm stand Starting Saturday June 6th, from 9am to 2pm, and continuing every Saturday after that.

I'm not ready to give up yet! I plan on having more craft sales later in May once the weather warms up, which I'll post events for once I figure out what works best for my schedule. My plan going forward is to take a couple weeks to try and figure out a formal schedule for craft sales, as well as what U want to offer this year. I want to have soaps, honey, dried herbs, and possibly some eggs if I have enough to sell, (chicken and duck eggs), as well as a small plant swap where people can drop off/swap plants of any and all types. This will all be open every other Saturday until mid November, (or until it gets too cold). I do want to have a communal burn once a year where people can bring any yard waste/brush from spring clean ups to burn, as well as hang out and enjoy some hot chocolate/roasting marshmallows, (and possibly hot dogs/tofu dogs), as one of my community events on the farm. I may end up moving locations, (to be announced soon), at some point so I'm not sure if I'll continue to have this here long term, but I'll see how things go and if it makes sense to keep some stuff here.

Bucaro boxi was not pleased with today's sales, but nothing ever pleases him. I told Bucaro that 4 customers is better than none, but he insisted on grovelling on about how it should have been a hundred, so he could get fat off their bills. We agreed to disagree on that one, and went our separate ways. I still think today was a good day, even if Bucaro Boxi was left hungry from only eating 60 bucks. Better luck next time, Bucaro! Hope you guys appreciate my little bit of comedy to make light of a bit of a flop of a day. Was still a good day, but a bit more quiet then I'd hoped

Am deciding to re-evaluate things a bit with my farm, and scale things way back from my original plan. As of right now I'll be focusing primarily on growing produce, with the occasional soap sales here and there. I also plan on switching to farmers markets only since it makes more sense to market things that way, and helps me have more time to harvest and maintain things. I still plan on having the grand opening event April 25th, (and possibly more events if I have time), but will not have any weekly sales on site. Sorry to keep changing things around so much. I have a bad habit of trying to do too much at once and then scaling things way back, because I get overwhelmed by doing too much. I'm going to work on catching myself more often when I'm starting to do too much, so it doesn't confuse folks.

It's getting towards pumkin season, and New England Farm and Garden club is here to help get rid of the ones that are passed their prime. All pumpkins will go towards making compost for the gardens at Mendon Farm, and creating good quality compost to offer to the community through Ye ole swap shop spring of 2026. Pumpkins can be dropped off anytime at 45 North Ave, Mendon MA, in the compost pile by the dirt driveway.
