Started plowing an area for planting vegetables next year! There were a ton of big rocks there but I managed to pull most of them out, other then a few more stubborn ones. Am going to cover crop this area by the end of this week hopefully, which will help add more nutrients to the soils and prevent the bare soil from accumulating weeds/washing away.

Wondering where I've been, and why I haven't posted for a couple weeks? No, I didn't get sick or injure myself in some horrible way, I moved to a new farm! Introducing Unknown Farm, Mendon Farm's new location at 265 State st in Belchertown MA! This 13.50 acre property offers lots of potential, with a little 2 bedroom ranch house to go with it! Mendon farm's old location in Mendon MA will be closing town at the end of this year, and all operations moving to Unknown Farm by spring of 2027. While I'll be sad to leave Mendon and the wonderful community I've found there, I'm looking forward to this new and exciting adventure! I'll share Unknown Farm's new page once I set it up!

Am trying my hand at growing mushrooms! Harvested a couple pink oysters from a mushroom kit I bought last week, which are a bit small but still looking good as far as I can tell. May end up selling dried mushrooms if all goes well with my trial run

Sorry for not posting for so long again. I've been super busy preparing for some exciting big changes coming up soon, which has been preoccupying most of my time, (more to come soon on this). This year has been a bit all over the place so I haven't had enough time to sell a lot of stuff, other than some soaps and honey here and there. I am hoping to open the stand back up at some point soon, once the chaos settles and I get the time and energy to make some soap.

I'll be closed this weekend in preparation for the farmer showcase at Vandervalk Farm & Winery. Now I know you're gonna say, "Now wait a second, didn't you say you'd be open this saturday?" Yes I did, but I got heat stroke yesterday which put a bit of a damper on preparations, so I need another day to prepare for Sunday's event. Sorry for the last second change of plans. Hope to be open next weekend as long as I have time

Was a decent sale today! Made about 40 bucks and got 10 people and one grumpy old man, lol. I decided to move to the top of the dirt driveway, as that way people can see me better and there's more room for parking. I'll be back this coming weekend with more soaps and whatever honey I have leftovers from this sale. Thank you to all who stopped by today. Catch y'all next time! I'm gonna go lie down for a while
