For everyone who purchased mums from us-
🍂 Frost and Freezing temperatures are in the forecast this weekend! ❄️ Don't let the near-freezing temperatures zap your beautiful fall mums. Here is how to keep them safe and colorful:
Quick Steps to Protect Your Mums:
• Move them inside: If they are in pots, bring them into a garage, shed, or covered porch before sunset.
• Cover them up: If moving them isn't an option, drape a light blanket, bedsheet, or frost cloth over the plants at dusk. Avoid using plastic sheeting directly touching the leaves.
• Insulate the roots: Spread mulch, straw, or leaves around the base of plants in the ground (or potted mums) to trap warmth.
• Let them breathe in the morning: Once the sun comes up and temperatures rise above freezing (or over 50°F), remove the blankets or move the pots back out into the sunlight.
