BIG WEEKEND IN OHIO!!

The National Southdown Sale was 🔥! We greatly appreciate everyone that stopped by the stalls, bid or purchased George Brothers sheep. After the sale Drew participated in the AJSA Kick-Off Show. We took three Barb lambs out and all left with a banner.

Did we save the best one for the last post? Maybe…depends on what you are looking for. This yearling ewe could be super competitive in the show ring but also has serious donor potential. Her dam raised Jack Thielen’s Champion Southdown wether at the 2024 MLE and All American that was also Reserve Champion at the Southdown Jr Show at NAILE.

Barb, the 2023 Reserve National Champion Ewe, has knocked it out of the park this year. She was flushed twice and had a natural set of twins. As a result over half of Drew’s show string this year is out of her, including his fall ewe (pictured) that is a flushmate to this ram lamb. At this point she has only shown against black face cross ewes and has held her own-she has been grand or reserve every time in the ring. We are fortunate to have enough Barb’s to share. This dude is super green, we really haven’t been pushing on him yet. His build and power is impressive, once he gets a little fat on him he will hit a whole other gear.

Trial run…First time out for a 2026 lamb and we are grateful for a solid start. Looking forward to seeing lots of succes...

Fitting post for today. It was exactly 16 years ago that we were on our way to pick up our first Southdown ewe. To say we didn’t know what we were getting into is an understatement! But we couldn’t imagine life any other way.

As promised we have included a list of the 4 remaining ewe lambs we have for sale.

🤔Maybe this is your first chance to join in the Southdown breed??

This will be the offering that was intended to be Willoughby on April 19th. But instead we are offering them publicly through this format. Please contact us for photos and pricing on any of the listed lambs you may have interest in. You are also welcome to come see them in person this weekend!

All ewes have been futurity nominated.
