Pears are one of our faves, but did you know that they shouldn’t soften on the tree? They need to be harvested while they’re still firm. So how can you get them perfectly soft?

🍐 Don’t refrigerate right away! Let them soften on the counter, usually about 3-5 days. Sometimes they might need a few extra days because of how fresh they are.
🍐 Check the neck. Give a gentle squeeze on the neck of the pear, if it’s soft then it’s ready to go!
🍐 Once soft, then put your pears in the fridge to keep them longer.

Some things are already favorites. Others are just waiting for you to try them!

That's what we love about putting together our Farm Share boxes. Getting to share the Honeycrisp Apples you look forward to, introduce you to Oregon Mountain Rose Apples, and show you just how different one Oregon pear can be from another!

And then there are the New Mexico Pistachios from Heart of the Desert. We couldn't leave those out!

Every product in our Autumn Farm Share Box was chosen for a reason, and we can't wait for you to experience them all. We even included one more surprise that we're keeping to ourselves until your box arrives!

Our Oregon Mountain Rose Apples are back in stock! Grown at Kiyokawa Family Orchards, they have a bright, sweet-tart flavor that reminds us of pink lemonade.
