Celebrating a double birthday Daughter and Dad a week apart…we each got to choose a bottle to crack… Daughter chose the Doc Holliday 10yr bourbon (World Whiskey Society) and I chose the Fiddler encore (8yr) finished in a tequila barrel for a little over 1yr (ASW Distillery). Both are phenomenal pours, and worthy of a birthday celebration.

My little haul from my birthday trip (thanks to my wife) along the bourbon trail. Mostly Distillery only picks, but a few allocated picks, and some bottle your own / dip your own. Visited & toured, in order, Angel's Envy, Michter's Distillery, Bardstown Bourbon Company, Heaven Hill Distillery, Maker's Mark, Willett Distillery, Jim Beam, Woodford Reserve, and Buffalo Trace Distillery. Also was too early for Castle & Key, but stopped by because we had a little time. I’d say my top 3 were Bardstown, Woodford Reserve and Angel’s Envy. Fantastic time and a birthday long weekend to remember for sure.
