Three surprise ducklings going to their new home. The nest was found on the ranch but hatch date totally unknown. Hatched yesterday, June 16, 2026.

100 meat chicks started in collaboration with Seed and a bucket farms . They are settled in nicely in San Luis Obispo.

Morning extra feeding. I integrated the goslings so am adding an extra feeding to make sure that they get enough nutrition. The grass is pretty much dead so there’s not much to graze on but they are still grazing on something. Slim pickings. 50+ geese in this flock.

The classroom requested an update! Mrs Nutter tried hatching ducklings this year in her classroom and they were a hit! The ducklings were handled and got daily water playtime which was fun and different than the baby chicks. She says she will do it again. Duck hatching eggs provided by Harvest Ridge Ranch.
