Worth a listen! Another dairy processor in vermont just announced it would be closing its doors. Jobs lost and milked that now has to be trucked even further away. Vermont has the capacity to be environmentally friendly and business businesses friendly. We just need the people who are making the decisions to find a better way to do both!

People who dont make maple syrup but enjoy it think we only "sugar" for one or two months. For those of us that make maple syrup its year round . Your either planning, dreaming or most of the time scheming how to make more syrup next year. Here is some photos I didn't get to share during this last season!

Today was maple cream and candy day at the sugarhouse. It takes a lot of hands and watchful eyes to cook, mix, pour, and package these maple goodies up! Best part is working with family and having the girls be able help out!

Another sugaring season in the books! Thanks to all the friends, family, and most importantly the trees for another successful crop! Looking forward to getting some sleep, spending some more time with the family and getting back to work out in the woods.

We have had a couple of very productive days at the sugarhouse this week. Very grateful for all the help from family and friends to get through it! After todays boil we well surpassed 1/2 crop and the forecast looks promising for the next 10 days! Here's to a rainy dreary April! 🍻 🍁

As a working lands business I can not emphasize enough how important it is for people to educate themselves about VTS rural economy. Both dairy and forestry are vital to keeping VT a destination that so many people want to come visit and experience!

Been absent from the old Facebook but I'm back in the woods finally. Thanks to jake and camdon for helping me get our 2000 taps in at the sugarhouse. Once the trees are tapped if you want top production it is a 24 hour job monitoring and then fixing any problems. All it takes is one little squirrel bit to cost you production from your entire woods!
