Overview
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Produce Packer to join our team in Ringoes, NJ. In this role, you will hand-assemble our weekly farm boxes, ensuring customers receive the highest quality local fruits and vegetables. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position perfect for someone who loves local food and enjoys active work.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control: Inspect produce for freshness and quality, ensuring only the best items make it into the boxes.
Box Assembly: Accurately pack produce into farm boxes according to the weekly “ADD-ONS” and standard share lists.
Efficiency: Maintain a steady pace to ensure all orders are ready by the delivery deadline.
Cleanliness: Assist in keeping the packing area organized and sanitary.
Requirements
Physical Ability: Must be able to comfortably lift and carry up to 10 lbs repeatedly and stand for the duration of the 4-hour shift.
Produce Knowledge: Basic familiarity with different types of seasonal fruits and vegetables is required.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy is essential to ensure every customer receives exactly what they ordered.
Reliability: Since this shift is only once a week (Tuesdays), consistent attendance and punctuality are vital.
