Zone 7 is hiring! This is a unique opportunity to learn and see many sides of the business and the food system! The Purchasing and Operations Assistant will be involved in many operational aspects of Zone 7. First and foremost, they will be a key liaison between Zone 7 and our farms and vendors, analyzing sales data to place purchase orders, helping with the availability list, processing vendor invoices, and assisting with delivery routing. They will also be hands-on receiving products, checking quality, picking orders and making deliveries. The Purchasing and Operations Assistant reports to the Assistant Operations and Purchasing Manager and helps the supply team build connections with our farms and is a key player in making the local food community thrive. This is a full-time, hourly position, averaging 40 hours per week with some overtime hours availability during the busy, growing season.
