🎬 The end of the garden. Tonight the cool temps and calm means a freeze warning.
The boys and I cleaned out the last of the peppers and tomatoes from the garden. There's still lots of carrots and kale yet, but this will be the end for just about everything else.
🍅The green tomatoes will continue to ripen--they will go in a single layer in shallow cardboard box, and I will freeze them when they are ripe for canning later.
🫑The peppers I chop and freeze in two-cup sized portions in bags with my vacuum sealer--ready to go for chili, gumbo, and fajita bowls. Just wash, chop, freeze.
🌅It was a lovely garden season despite the big heat days and drought. Thank you to our "garden goodie" customers, we hope you enjoyed the produce as much as we do!
🍎🎃We have a couple bushel of HONEYCRISP apples left in the apple cooler, as well as a few small pumpkins and gourds. Come shop the farmstand this weekend for the best selection!

A great weekend for a visit to Walker Farm! Shop for locally raised meats, plus bakery treats too.
📍Located 1/2 mile east of River Falls on County Road M, just past the River Falls Hospital and River Falls Golf Course.

We are restocked this beautiful Saturday morning!!

-Ground beef (limit 20lb per visit)
-Roasts
-Soup bones
-Suet

-Brats (plain, jalapeño cheddar, WI b**r cheese, apple)
-Ground pork (seasoned, plain, Italian)
-Smoked ham steaks
-Pork Shoulder roasts

Eggs are always available!
