This month’s featured team member is someone many of you already know and love — Juan Tellez, our Lead Wine Educator. 🍷

Born and raised in Saint Helena, Juan’s connection to Napa Valley runs deep. While earning his degree in Sports Management and Education from Saint Mary's College of California, he began working Saturdays at Round Pond as a way to support himself through school. What started as a part-time role quickly turned into something much more.

After graduating, Juan joined the team full time, where both Ryan and founder Bob MacDonnell recognized his potential early on and helped shape his path. Over the past 11 years, he has become a cornerstone of the Round Pond experience, known for his warmth, depth of knowledge, and genuine care for every guest who walks through our doors.

“My favorite part of the job is the people — our team, our members, and the guests we welcome every day. The relationships we build here are what make it so meaningful. Many of our members have become friends, and being part of their experiences here is something I’m incredibly grateful for.”

We are proud to have Juan as part of our team, and deeply grateful for the care, passion, and consistency he brings to Round Pond every day. Cheers to Juan!

Budbreak has arrived — and it didn’t waste any time. We’re two weeks ahead of schedule with a full month’s worth of growth already under our belts.
 
With no frost on the horizon and our vineyard crews working their magic — suckering, tucking, tending — the stage is set for something special. At this pace, sparkling harvest could arrive as early as July.
