Neighbors and friends, so many of you have reached out in concern about the nearby Akawa Butte Fire. While our hearts go out to those evacuated and those who’ve lost homes, we’re happy to pass along a few pieces of good news.

Evacuation levels have begun dropping on the south and southwest (city limits) sides of the fire! We’re enjoying clear blue skies and good air! And fire authorities are quite optimistic for us.

While continuing to keep an eye on any new developments, Suttle Tea and our neighboring businesses look forward to remaining open for what appears to promise a beautiful week ahead of central Oregon summer.

For now, our zone remains under a Level 1 (Be Ready) evacuation notice.

What a remarkable effort from firefighters! We thank you and continue to pray over your safety! 🙏
