We finish kidding season with another big boy, Bramble, born to Blackberry Saturday and two beautiful girls, Buttons and Birdie, born to Bootsie this morning. God sent us four boys and four girls this year. We take the stewardship of these cuties very seriously and are thankful for the blessings. I started milking BaeBae this morning and look forward to making soaps and shampoo bars this week.

God blessed us with triplets on Good Friday. These are our first triplets on the farm, so we've been nervous about Brownie being able to feed and care for three. They were all about 5 lbs at birth. However, the triplets are all gaining weight. The little one, Barbie, weighed in at 6.0 lbs, and Bubba and Bonnie both weigh 6.8 this morning. Brownie is a very good Momma!

Our first baby goats of the season were born last Saturday to BaeBae, who is an awesome momma. Both boys are strong, healthy and beautiful! I needed to clean BaeBae's stall, so I asked her to take the boys out to play. It was funny watching her coax them outside.

Meet our new anniversary goats, Blackberry and Boots. It has become a tradition to expand the gene pool of our herd on our anniversary each year. Goats are so much better than chocolate and flowers and steak dinners! Thanks, Morgan Farm, for two more awesome goats!

Our chicks are 5 weeks old today and fully feathered already. We have unseasonably warm weather for the next week, so we decided to move these big girls straight out to the nursery in the big chicken coop. The walls are covered with plastic for the winter - as are the nesting boxes, feeding and perch areas of the big coop. They have an outdoor brooder/warming area in the nursery , but I didn't find them in there this morning. They did sleep in that area last night though. They all survived their first night outside and appear happy to be outdoors. I put electrolytes in their water just in case any are stressed over the move.
