Buckle Farm is a certified organic 16-acre farm located in the rural town of Unity, Maine. We produce organic veggies, herbs, flowers, fruit and pork for sale at our farm and in the Boston area. You can enjoy our offerings through our Boston CSA, at the Egleston Square Farmers Market in Jamaica Plain, MA and a number of restaurants in Portland, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts. Learn to distill herbs into hydrosols for aromatherapy, skin care and more with farmer Hannah from , then learn to integrate herbs into your cocktails and mocktails with kember, bartender at

This collaborative workshop will take place at the serene & spacious Waterford Inne. Attendees will be able to see a live demos from both instructors and will take home their own bottle of herbal hydrosol. Herbal cocktails, skincare products & potted herbs will be available to purchase at the end of the workshop. Add a morning yoga class to the day and a night at the Inne to make a complete getaway!

The wild and domesticated pollinators are digging these big, fluffy blackberry blossoms! We love observing bees of all shapes and sizes visiting the blooms, along with a host of other insects. Can’t get blackberries without ‘em!

About The Buckle Farm

The Buckle Farm is a small, diversified farm and orchard located in the rural town of Unity, part of Maine's Western Waldo County.

The farm originated in Massachusetts, where farmers Jim Buckle and Hannah Hamilton had lived for many years. However, both Jim and Hannah were born in Maine and when they found that their current land was for sale, they knew it was the right place to be.

The farm sits on a gently sloping ridge and has an orchard of mixed apple, pear and plum varieties. Jim and Hannah have received MOFGA organic certification for the fields on the property and a plot of nearby leased land. In addition to fruit, flowers, herbs and vegetables, the farm is also home to a small herd of pasture-raised hogs and a lively cattle dog named Lemmy.

Although the farm has moved locations, it has retained many of its Boston-area customer base. Jim delivers produce to Boston restaurants, markets and CSA customers weekly. Produce also makes its way to the greater Portland area and to neighbors of the farm in Maine. The Buckle Farm will expand its reach in Maine in the coming season.
