Ever wanted to know a good back story of a fresh hop beer? What is a fresh hop beer? How is it made? Why do we do it? Want to meet and talk to the growers who produce an important beer ingredient for us brewers?

We are hosting a super chill beer lunch for our Fresh Hop Beer Fest on Oct. 5. Only 30 tickets being sold. $40/pp all in.

The brewers and hop growers will take you through 5 selected beers. 8oz pours each. Learn about the relationship between grower and brewer. Find out why we choose to celebrate special annual beers at harvest time. Get a better understanding of the high quality products being cultivated right here in our backyard.

And while we are sipping on beers, Alex and team will be providing a nice food spread throughout your experience. All your menu favorites like the pita/farmers cheese, wings, brussels, etc.

It's going to be a celebration of agriculture and fresh hop beers. In collaboration with the Ohio Hop Growers Guild , we are going to showcase the high quality hops that Ohio is producing.

All day long, we will have our taplines full of fresh hopped beers. We are hoping to have 16 different breweries represented who are creating fresh hop beers with one of the hop farms below.







This is one of the best times of year for hop growers and brewers...making beers fresh off the farms...and we get to benefit by having a lot of them all in one place...ALL DAY LONG!!!

We will have a small ticketed lunch where all 5 hop farms will be showcased with a brewery....info coming soon.

The history of the Saison style is deeply rooted in agriculture. We brew this style not just because we like them but also because they are the best medium to showcase our Midwestern Agriculture. The original Saisons were a refreshing drink to sustain field workers at a time when water was unsafe.

Our newest beer on tap, Wetfang, is the closest to the pre-1960's interpretation of the style. We call it a Harvest Saison and also a Wethop Saison. Call it what you will. 5.5%abv.

A creamy malt body courtesy of West Branch Malts & Distillery Pils malt and wheat malt set the stage for the debut of a unique Ohio hop variety.

The HERITAGE HOP

Discovered on a Summit County Farm that gives this hop its name. Propagated at Barn Talk Hops and grown for us by Sonny Acres Farm.

The second and last of our wethop beers for the season. Leaning heavily on floral, citrus, and tropical characteristics, this hop is uniquely Ohio. Crisp, refreshing, bitter, and highly drinkable. And always well balanced.
