Washmo Tiny Farm My husband and I are raising chickens and growing as much food as possible on our tiny homestead. This is our story. I’m here to tell you that you can do it!

We started slow and small in 2023. Our chicken run and garden has tripled since then.

Mama hen has her babies on the roosting bar! They are still so small. It’s fascinating how quickly they learn.

I love when we have babies! So, the point of this page is to share what I have learned along the way. The best thing that I have learned is to not interfere with broody hens. Mark the eggs, collect anything unmarked as usual and let her do her thing within her flock. We have babies all year round. The only thing I change is to put out low feed & water when we have shorties. 🐣🐣🐣

They are starting to put themselves to bed so much earlier with the season changing. Once the sun starts setting, they start marching off to bed. Of course the teenagers stay out the latest! 😂
